Buller Woman Dies Os Shotgun Wounds AUBURN, Ind. (UPD—Authorities were scheduled to obtain extradition papers today to return Raymond Michael, 39, Butler, here so the DeKalb Circuit Court can hear charges in connection with the slaying of his wife. Michael was charged Thursday with assault and battery with intent to kill and malicious mayhem for the shooting of his wife, Lola. 26. but the charges were filed before Mrs. Michael died. As a result Michael, freed on 11,000 bond, left the state to visit a brother at Harvey, 111., before authorities knew of his wife’s death. The shooting occurred last Tuesday after divorce papers were served on Michael at his home while his wife was at work. Apparently Mrs. Michael did not know the papers had been served, for when she came home, authorities said she was shot with a shotgun. However, Michael pleaded innocent to the charges and said the gun went off accidentally. Mrs, Michael was rushed to Hicksville. Ohio, hospital with wounds in the abdomen. She was taken off the critical list Wednesday and was reported improving early Thursday while the charges were filed against her husband. But doctors said she died before noon Thursday. Authorities said death in time to apprehend Mideath in time tohapprehend Michael. Doctors at the hospital said Mrs. Michael died from a malfunction of the liver which they said was partially destroyed by the gunshot blast. Fined On Charge Os Public Intoxication Carl A. Frysinger, 60, who resides at the Rice Hotel, was fined $1 and costs, totaling $lB and was given a 10-day suspended jail sentence in city court Thursday. Frysinger was arrested at 5:30 p.m. Thursday for public intoxication.

Christian World To Observe Easter
By United Press International From a lonely cave on the rugged coast of Maine to the deck of an aircraft carrier in San Diego Bay and an Hawaiian Beach, American Christians will gather Easter morning to rejoice in an age-old cry. “Christ is risen.” Most Americans will worship at Easter services in the church of their choice. Churches across the nation scheduled extra sdrvices and masses to accommodate the worshippers. Millions of other Christians planned to attend suftrise services on mountaintops, in natural outdoor amphiiheaters, in cemeteries, or under huge man-made crosses. Many of the services were second or third generation affairs. Some were expected to draw up to 100,000 worshippers. Fort Service Oldest The oldest continuous Easter sunrise service of its kind in the East was planned on the parade ground of Ft. Hamilton in Brooklyn. Among the sunrise services being held for the first time is one in McCormick Place, Chicago’s vast new convention hall on the shore of Lake Michigan. It’s expected to draw 5,000 persons. The service atop Maine’s 1,530foot Cadillac Mountain — usually heralded as the first in the nation — was cancelled this year because of icy roads. But services will be held at Anemone Cave on Ocean Drive of icy Cave on Ocean Drive at Bar Harbor and at the seawall in the nearby town of Manset, Maine. More than 5,000 Christians are expected to worship at the Altar of the Nations in the snow-cov-ered Cathedral of the Pines at Rindge, N.H.
