The church may often seem weak and ineffective in world crises as compared to the power of political states and the influence of wealth and learning, but nevertheless, the church has persisted when nations have risen and fallen, when wealth has been dissipated, when learning has been cast into the discard. The power of Christ cannot be minimized in its ability to make weak men strong, to take little faith and transform it into spiritual strength which will restrain us in the hour of temptation, comfort us in the days of sorrow and sustain us when death comes. The power of Christ can make little people with few talents master themselves and dominate situations and people. The great in the world perish, but the humble in Christ are victorious. The church can be a transforming power in the lives of men. WHY NOT ACCEPT THE INVITATION AND COME TO CHURCH NEXT SUNDAY? FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH Charles M. Hill, Minister Worship Service, 9:30 a. m.
