(UPI i — Police' searched central Illinois today for the muscular, armed abductor of a 17-year-old high school senior who was raped and beaten during a two-hour ride of terror near her home. Authorities at St. Francis Hospital here said the girl had “defthe stranger who forced her from her home into his car at gunpoint shortly before midnight. The girl was Doris Ann Smith. State and local police concentrated their search along U.S. 150 to the lowa state line after the gunman freed the girl on a rural road near a farmhouse at Oak Hill, 111., about 20 miles northwest of Peoria. Officers notified the FBI at Peoria and said the man was armed with a double barreled shotgun. The girl said her assailant was about 28 to 30 years old, had black . hair, was more than 6 feet tall and weighed about 175 pounds. He wore dark horn-rimmed glasses, a hunter's leather cap and a dark coat and drove a gray 1959 (Chevrolet) sedan. She was treated at St. Francis Hospital for multiple bruises and knee cuts suffered when she tried to escape from the car and then was returned to her home at Edwards, about 10 miles northwest of Peoria. District Meeting Os Moose Friday Night The third district meeting of the Indiana Mooose association will be held at the Moose home in Bluffton Friday evening at 8:30 o’clock. Supper will be served preceding the meeting. Corwin A. Draper, past governor of the Huntington lodge, and third vice president for the state association, will conduct the meeting, assisted by district secretary Kenneth Parker, of Hartford City. Committee reports will include one by Darrel Kreischer, of Decatur, district conservation chairman. Dancing and other entertainment will follow the meeting. The Decatur lodge will give away a life membership at its regular meeting next Tuesday.
