'■■■■ I BIRTH At the Adams county memorial hospital: Jay and Phyllis Kauffman Johnson of route 2, Bryant, became the parents of an eight pound, four and one half ounce baby boy at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday. A baby boy weighing four pounds, one ounce was born to Dale and Anna Sprunger Rich of route 1, Berne, at 10:41 a.m. Wednesday. A six pound, six and one half ounce baby boy was bom at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday to John and Emily Knittie Kiser of 518 Mei-cer avenue, Decatur. At 7:03 p.m. Wednesday a baby boy weighing six pound, six ounces was born to Lowell E. and Shirley Lichtle Shaffer of 1017 Mercer avenue, Decatur. Thomas F. and Donna McKean Aurand of 421 Madison street, Decatur, became the parents of a baby girl at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday. The baby weighed three pounds, three and one half ounces. A seven pound, eleven ounce baby girl was born at 4:38 this morning to Calvin and Dorothy Combs Wolfe of Pleasant Mills. At 3:16 this morning, a six pound, ten and one half ounce baby girl was born to Anthony and Ruth Ann Barr Vergara of route 6, Decatur. David J. and Carolyn Aumann Brown, of the Hiway trailer court, became the parents of a baby boy weighing six pounds, ten ounces at 1:32 this morning. Girl Scouts Brownie troop 256 met Wednesday afternoon. The meeting was opened with the repeating of the Brownie pledge. The roll was called and dues were collected. The girls then finished their Christmas gifts. Karen Johnson brought the treat. Scrbie: Susie Shraluka Girl Scout troop 473 met at the Youth and Community Center Tuesday afternoon after school. The group divided into patrols and the leader of each patrol collected the dues. One patrol then began the projects for parents: another made stuffed animals for the children in the hospital. The group will meet Saturday ’ between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to
