Musial Named To All-Stars For 17th Time CINCINNATI, Ohio (UPI)-Gtan Musial at the St. Louis Cardinals broke still another record today when he was named to the League All-Star squad for the'l7th time, but the Pittsburgh Pirates dominated the team with eight members. Passed by was outfielder Richie Ashburn, former league batting champion currently hitting .324. The squad includes 13 holdovers from last year’s squad, including Musial, Willie Mays of the Giants and Ed Mathews of the Braves, each appearing for the eighth time, and Hank Aaron of the Braves, appearing for the seventh time. Ten players will be appearing in the mid-season classics for the first time.
