(UPD— The final 13 North Dakota counties hoped to finish their canvass today of the state's special senatorial election wdn by Democratic Rep. Quentin Burdick. Official canvass figures from the other 40 of the state's 53 counties added 104 votes to Burdick's total, thus increasing his margin over Republican Gov. John Davis to 1400. Unofficially, Burdick now has 104,458 votes to 103.358 for Davis in North Dakota’s closest senatorial election in history.
