Ind <UPD-Indi-ana poultrymen attending a meeting at Purdue University today will be treated to a new culinary delight—frozen fried eggs, or fried frozen eggs, depending on how you look at It. The heat-and-serve egg Is one of the latest developments hatched in the Purdue laboratories for use by harried housewives and skilletfumbling husbands who have to whip up a quick breakfast. W.J. Stadelman. who developed the process, said the frozen egg is packaged in a special aluminum foil and can be dropped in a toaster and served sizzling hot Or. said Stadelman, the egg can be packaged in a plastic bag and heated in boilng water. Stadelman said the egg is fried to suit individual tastes, then cooled and sealed in a special black aluminum foil and stored in the freezer. Hearings Planned On New Wheat Measure WASHINGTON (UPD— Senate farm leaders planned to move ahead on proposed wheat legisla- . tion today, buoyed by signs that a friendly welcome may be waiting at the White House. Chairman Allen J. Allender <Dscheduled a meeting today of his Senate Agriculture Committee to decide on a date for hearings on a wheat bill he has spon- . sored and which reportedly may ’ be close to what President Eisen- > hower would approve, Senate GOP Leader Everett M j Dirksen <lll > said after a White House meeting Tuesday that a wheat bill similar to the one vetoed by tbe President last year . but brought within “acceptable limits” could win White House approval. i Dirksen indicated that Ellender's bill might be within the “acceptable limits.” Ellender's bill would set wheat props at 80 per cent of parity and cut acreage by 20 per cent for next year’s cr6p The bill vetoed by Eisenhower last year would have set price supports at 90 per cent and cut wheat acreage by 25 per cent.
