Tuberculosis Clinic In Decatur March 31 A tube ■rcobx*is consultation clinic, sponsored by the Adams county tuberculosis association, will be conducted here March 31 nt the American Legion home by appointment only. Mrs. W Guy Brown, executive secretary of the association, said this morning 1 that Dr. C. T. Kidder, chest pathology clinician, will discuss the , findings of recent X-ray films ! with county residents who desire such consultation. Starting at 10 a .m. until noon and from 1 to 2 p. m.. persons will be granted pirvate interviews with the doctor at the Legion home. Those desiring appointments should call 3-3081 as soon as : possible. This service is only one phase of the association’s overall ' tuberculosis program. Funeral Held For Local Lady's Mother Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. today for Mrs. Mabel B. Stephen, 60. of near Redkey, mother of Mrs. Jay Markley, of Decatur. Mrs. Stephen died at 5 p m. Friday in the Jay county hospital following a short illness. She is survived by her husband, Lee. three sons, Robert. Redkey; Max. Portland, and James, East St. Louis, Ill.; three Mrs. Patricia J. Markley, Decatur; Mrs. Betty Shimer, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Helen J. Miller. Portland; her father, J. Parmer Hoppes. Redkey, and 17 grandchildren. ♦ n She was a member of the EUB church in Redkey. The Rev. Richard Henry officiated at the service at the Jones mortuary. Burial was at the Hillcrest cemetery. Lactation Averages Announced For Herds Brattleboro. Vt. —The HolsteinFriesian Association of America has announced new lactation averages for the following registered Holstein herds in this area; Paul E. Liechty & Sons. Berne, have 22 completed production records averaging 14.362 lbs. of milk and 523 lbs. of butterfat. Rolandes Liechty, Berne, has 21 completed production records averaging 15.534 tbs. of milk and 585 lbs. of butterfat. Lactation averages are calculated on the commonly-employed two-milkings a day, 305 day, mature equivalent basis. This provides a uniform basis for comparison and selection in registered Holstein breeding programs.
