Affirm Conviction Os Mrs. Nicholas INDIANAPOLIS <UPI> — The Indiana Supreme Court today affirmed the conviction of Mrs. Connie Nicholas on manslaughter charges in the gun death of her married lover, wealthy Forrest Teel. The high court overruled several technical objections to her convic* tion by a unanimous decision of the four justices who participated. The opinion was written by Justice Arch N. Bobbitt Justice Harold Achor, who has been ill. did not participate. The decision gives defense attorneys 21 days in which to appeal for a rehearing. Mrs. Nicholas had sought reversal of her conviction on grounds the affidavit did not charge the revolver with which Teel was killed was loaded with “gunpowder and bullets.” They said the jury could not tell from the indictment whether the revolver or the metal bullet struck Teel. But the high court said it was “not impressed with this argument.” The ruling said Mrs. Nicholas failed to sustain her burden of ap* peal of showing reversible ei*ror.
