Huntington edged the eventual Northeastern Conference champs during the season, 63-61. Another rematch, at Martinsville. has Strong Bloomington paired with Western Conference titlist Brazil. Bloomington beat Brazil by 23 points during the season. Bloomfield's Wabash Valley tourney champions and Terre Haute Garfield have not met. Muncie-Richmond Clash? Top-rated Muncie Central overwhelmed Richmond by 40 points, but they may not even meet for the regional crown at New Castle. Richmond must beat Middletown before it can aim at the Bearcats, who have an afternoon date with Parker. The latter bowed by only 11 points to Muncie in last year's regional title match. Madison’s Cubs, favorites at Columbus, trounced Greensburg, 8745, but the latter may have a rough time convincing Waldron to reach tht title round Boonville has been beaten by both Tell City and Fort Branch, and Evansville Lincoln whipped Fort Branch by 12 points to be favored in'the Pocket City. It’s dog-eat-dog at Jefersonville, where New Albany is defending the honors.
