The meeting has been called to help organise the Little League for boys nine to twelve years old next summer. Help is urgently needed in the form of coaches and managers. The purpose of the league is to build boys. It is a city-wide program, taking in all boys regardless of race, creed, or background. It takes a lot of work on the part of those who coach and manage the teams, but it is worth it. After all, boys who no longer have to work all day during their vacations must have something constructive, recreational, and physically competitive to occupy their time. Tryouts will take place the last week in May, with the boys being placed on teams after the tryouts. Play is then on Tuesday and Friday nights, with practice between times. The league continues until the second week, in August. Little League is supported financially by contributions from merchants, manufacturers, and professional people, like lawyers, doctors, and dentists. There are six teamsln the night league, and six more in the morning league, all requiring uniforms, caps, equipment, etc. If you are interested in baseball, and want a challenging job helping the youth of Decatur, why not plan to attend the meeting?

Says Sen. Kennedy To Run In Indiana INDIANAPOLIS <UPI) — Robert Kennedy, former chief counsel for the Senate Rackets Committee, hinted strongly Thursday that his brother. Sen. John F. Kennedy <DMass.i. would decide to enter the Indiana presidential preference primary. "I believe that my brother will consider very seriously entering the Indiana primary,” Kennedy said after talking with a number of Hoosier boosters. "He is much impressed with the Indiana organization which has been set up in his behalf. _ “I know that if Sen. W. Stuart Symington or Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson would run in' Indiana, my brother would be a candidate," he said, "and I feel he might enter anyway.” Kennedy said a decision would be reached within the next two weeks. Senator Kennedy is scheduled to \ visit the powerful Democratic areas of Lake and Vigo Counties in two weeks. 34 Votes At Stake Kennedy made his statements after it was pointed out that Lar Daly. Chicago perennial candidate in the Midwest, announced he would enter both the Hoosier Democratic and Republican primaries, and. if unopposed, might garner 34 Democratic votes for president on the first ballot. The Hoosier primary binds delegates for the first ballot only Afterwards, they are free to go as they please. _ Former Democratic national chairman Frank McKinney has predicted most of the delegates will vote for Symington after the first ballot. However, he opposes an entry by Symington in the Indiana primary. Robert Kennedy, who conferred with backers of his brother from many parts of the state, dared any

of his brother's rivals to oppose him in a primary. He said the senator had decided against his counsel to run in Wisconsin, next door to the bailiwick of Sen. Hubert Humphrey of Minnesota, and Humphrey should have enough courage to fight the Massachusetts senator in New Hampshire. Optimistic About Chances Kennedy said he is "very optimistic" about his brother's chances and added that he is strong in the Rocky Mountain states and in Ohio. Illinois, Ne- , braska. Kansas, New Jersey, ' Maryland, New York and the . New England states. He denied Republican allegations ' that the senator was "soft” on Walter Reuther and his United 1 Auto Workers pnion. "Walter Reuther is neither cor- ‘ rupt nor dishonest,” Kennedy said. He pointed out that Reuther testified before the Senate Rackets ' Committee for four days and that the Republican counsel for the committee questioned him concerning violence in the Perfect Circle and Kohler strikes. "The United Auto Workers made bad mistakes in mass picketing and in other activities during the Kohler strike." Kennedy declared, "but the company also made mistakes.” Emergency Landing Made By Airliner DETROIT (UPD — A non-stop New York to Phoenix American Airlines DC7 plane with 45 persons aboard was forced to make an emergency landing here Thursday because of engine trouble.
