Her finance Is operations manager of K and A Truck Lines. Inc., in Bettendorf. A June wedding is being planned. ADAMS CENTRAL P.T.A. HOLDS JANUARY MEETING Earl Harmon presided at the January meeting of the Adams Central Parent Teachers Association held Monday evening in the school cafeteria. The Rev. John Mishler, pastor of the Pleasant Dale church, gave the devotions. Music was presented by the freshman clarinet quartet and the freshmen girls’ trio and the secretary and treasurer's *■ reports were read and approved. Speakers for the evening were Dr. Norval Rich, who talked on health, and Donald Dickie, whose topic was safety. Following the meeting, the hospitality committee served refreshments. A chili supper, taking the place of the regular meeting, will b® held February 12, in the school cafeteria. A science fair will be hefd in the gymnasium at that time, under the direction of the school’s science department. CHURCH MOTHERS MEET WITH MRS. ED SUMMERS The January meeting of the Church Mothers Study club was held at the home of Mrs. Ed Summers, with 12 members present. Mrs. Doyle Collier opened the meeting with devotions. The lesson. “Problems of Marriage,” taken from Parents Magazine.

Mrs. Nash gave a talk on "Why Birds Need Compannes.” Mrs. Fred Ault, northeast district chairman of the Garden chib, and Mrs. Howard Habig of Bluffton were guests at the meeting Mrs. Nash, assisted by Mrs MacLean, served refreshments during the social hour. DEMONSTRATION CLUB MEETS WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON The Decatur Home Demonstration club held Its January meeting Wednesday afternoon at the C.L. of C. hall. Mrs. Joe Hunter led the club collect and pledge to the flag to open the meeting. The history of the song of the month was then presented bv Mrs. Walter Lister, who then led the members in singing “The Little Brown Church in the Vale.” Mrs. Ralph E. Roop accompanied at the piano The health and safety lesson was given by Mrs. Carl Hammond, stresing that many of the accidents that occur in the home could be prevented. Mrs. Ralph E. Roop gave the lesson on "Family Goals.” Members voted to meet at 1:30 p.m. instead of 2 p.m. and to attend the gypsy outing again this summer for all the clubs in the county. Mrs. Frank Crist read the constitution and by-laws and also read the poem “Which Are You?” Mrs. Frank Butler was welcomed into the club as a new member. Refreshments were furnished and served bv the Mesdames Frank Bohnke. Howard Eley, Cecil Gause, Jesse Williams, and G. Remy Bierly. The door prize was awarded to Mrs. C. E. Drake.

Mrs. Leona Worth, and Mrs. Eldora Bultemeier will be hostesses for the Sunny Circle Home Demonstration club meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Preble township recreation center. Mrs. W. Guy Brown will be hostes for the Research club Monday at 2:30 p.m. The Pleasant Mills Methodist i W.S.C.S. will meet with Mrs. Lawr-j ence Ehrsam, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. St. Mary’s chorus rehearsal will be held at 1:30 Sunday at the K. of C. hall. Mrs. Leo Teeple will he hostess for the Delta Theta Tau sorority at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Anspaugh returned home today with his wife and daughter, Jane, after spending several days studying at the Eastman-Kodak Co. in Rochester. N. Y. While in Rochester, the Anspaughs stayed with a former Decatur resident, Walter Littmann and family. Littmann moved from Decatur several years ago. Anspaugh studied with Gene Bottsford. head of portrait photography for the professional technical services division of EastmanKodak. A select group of photographers from all over the country spent 2Vi days with Bottsford working with the newest direct color material, including some phases of experimental color that is not on the market yet.
