A group of young Christians from West Germany will leave soon for Norway as the second contingent of Volunteers who are working abroad in repentance for suffering caused by the Nazis before and after World War IL Sponsored by the Evangelical Church in Germany, the project is known as “Token of Repentance Action. The West German youth will help Construct home for mentally retarded children in northern Norway. A nw interdenominational National Student Christian Federation was formed recently by a merger of three’Vrotestant student organizations. Merging into the federation were the United Student Christian Council, the Student Volunteer Movement, and the Interseminary Movement. All three groups are related administratively to the National Council of Churches Division of Christian Education, with which the federation also will be affiliated. A special course on Russian Communism and Christian Faith is being taught at the Broadway Methodist Church, Indianapolis, Indiana. The project will extend through seven sessions. Classes deal with 19th century Russia, the origins of Communism, the Bolshevist revolution, the social implications of Christianity and a review of the difference between Marxian and Christian views of man, government and history.
