Exams Listed For Post Office Jobs The port office board of U.S. civil service examiners, Toledo, j 0.. today announced an examina- ' tion for substitute clerk and substitute carrier positions at the Decatur post office. Salaries begin at $2 per hour. Applicants must reside within the delivery of the Decatur office or be bona fide patrons thereof. No specific experience is required but all applicants must pass- a written test. Application forms, which must be filed on or before Feb. 10, and full information may be obtained at the local post office. Locals Beryl Miller, former Jay county commisioner, was the first from that county to announce his candidacy for 1960. The middle district office sought by the Democrat is presently held by a Republican, Albert Leroy Andrews of Decatur was fined S2O and costs in Van Wert municipal court for a stop sign violation. His driving privileges in Ohio were Suspended for 25 days. Herman Strahm of Craigville was dismissed Monday from the Clinic hospital in Bluffton after receiving treatment, Mrs. Emma Minger of Craigville was admitted Monday for treatment. Judge and Mrs. Homer J. Byrd and county treasurer and Mrs. Harry Stahl of Bluffton returned Saturday from a trip to Florida. Donald Thornton, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Thornton, returned to Ball State Teachers College Sunday after spending the holidays with his family. He is ih his freshman year.
