Three Programs At Missionary Church The Decatur Missionary church will present three Christmas programs during the holiday season. The choir, directed by Darrell Gerlg, will present an hour of Christmas music during the worship service Sunday at 10 a.m., with Mrs. Gerald Gerlg as narrator. The children will present their annual program at 7 p.m. Sunday, with Mrs. Eugene Beam as chairman. Each child will receive a Christmas treat following the program. Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., teenagers of the church will present a Christmas play entitled, “Follow the Star.” David Zimmerman, youth director of the church, is director of the play. Friends of the area are invited to attend these programs. Legion Plans Annual New Years Party Reservations are now being taken for the American Legion. Adams post 43, annual New Year's Eve party. Jim Goodin and his orchestra will provide dancine rm«iwhile noise makers, paper hats, and sundry customary items will be provided by the committee for members and wives. The special highlight will be a free smorgasbord after midnight. Tickets, priced at $4 a couple, may be procured from Robert G. Smith Robert Ashbaucher, Dick Archer, or by calling the Legion home. The committee assures all who attend will have a genuine gala time.
Pinal Elks Party In ’’ Old Home Saturday The Decatur Elks will hold their final entertainment in their present lodge home Saturday night at 9 o’clock, a Christmas party and dance. Admission will be Only 75 cents per person. The party is for Elks and invited guests only. All members are urged to attend this last party in the present home, as the next upcoming event, the annual New Years Eve party, will be staged in the new home, rapidly nearing completion on the lodge property on North Second street. We used to argue about every little thing.” With these words, Robert Butler 14, explained why he shattered his foster mother's body with six bullets from a .22 caliber rifle. r Robert was a “good, clean cut ■boy,” Sious City police said.
