LESSON PRAYER: Dear Father, we thank Thee that the Christian gospel is for all peoples, and that in Christ all men are one. Grant that we may realize the importance of faith in the wisdom of Thy will for ua and our obedience to it. May we work together as brothers in the furthering of Thy kingdom on earth. An occasional kick in the rear is what sends many men to the front.

FIRST CHRISTIAN 2nd, and Jefferson Street Edward Pacha, minister Morning worship, 9:30 a.m. Church school, 10:30 a.m. Youth meeting, 12:45 p.m. What Is The Lord's Supper? One of the most famous of all religious paintings shows Jesus with His disciples at supper. It was the last time they were all together. Today the Lord's Supper, which Jesus instituted that night, is observed every Sunday in the Christian churches. It is one of our two ordinances. The other is baptism. The Lord’s Supper, which symbolized Christ’s willing sacrifice of His life for those who would follow Him, became a weekly memorial in the early church, which was established soon after His death. Now, as then, it is a deep period of worship, when Christians re-examine their lives, re-dedicate themselves to Him, and strengthen their faith and fellowship with both God and man. Because we believe sincerely in the need for unity of all Christian groups, we do not limit the Lord’s Suppe? to our members, but practice “open Communion.” We are glad to share this warm spiritual experience with other Christians. The door of every Christian church is open to you.
