The Frankes will reside in Fort Wayne, and the former lieutenant will continue his work in engineerig by studying for his master's degree at Purdue University. Among those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hobbs, Max Hobbs, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hobbs and family, Mrs. Ellen Hobbs of Monroevile, and Miss Marie Dean of Chicago. Also attending was Bill Meyers. Others attending were: Mrs. Anna Wagner, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Busick, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Busick, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Busick, Mr. and Mrs. Bob and children, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Franke, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reynolds and children Neil and Robert, and Roger Franke. About 50 members of the two families were present during the reunion. A meeting of the Pocahontas lodge will be held Tuesday at 7:30 o’clock in the Red Men’s hall on Winchester street. Monday at 8 o’clock, members of the Sancta Maria study clwb will meet at the home of Mrs. Richard Feasel. Mrs. Ed Bauer will act as hostess for members of the Past Presidents Parley members who wil meet at the Legion home Monday at 8 o’clock. The Holy Family study club will meet at the home of Mrs. Robert Laurent at 8:30 o’clock Monday evening. Merry Matrons Home Demonstration club members should note that the meeting scheduled for next Tuesday has been postponed

TRI KA>FA ASSOCIATES MEET AT PETRIE HOME Members of the Tri Kappa associate chapter held their opening meeting at the home of Mrs. W. E Petrie Tuesday evening. Mrs. Forrest Murray, president, presided at the meeting. Plans were completed for the annual rummage sale which is tc be held in the Cole building October 17. FAREWELL PARTY HELD FOB DONALD THORNTON A farewell party for Donald Thornton, who left Tuesday for Ball State Teachers College, was held recently by members of the MY.F. of the St. Paul Missionary church. Members of the ciass who attended were Jerry Franz, Ralph Parrish, Terry Schnepp, Richard Welch, Miss Arlene Parrish, Miss Nancy Cook, Miss Mary Reta Thornton, Miss Alice Thornton and Jay Martin. The eyening was spent in playing games, followed with a wiener roast. PROFIT AND PLEASURE CLUB MEETS TUESDAY EVENING The Profit and Pleasure Home Demonstration club members held their meeting Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Julius Lengerich, with 12 members present. President, Mrs. Harve Smith, opened the meeting with the club collect. Roll was called and members answered by telling their pet peeve. “Techniques in Laundry,” was the lesson presented by Mrs. Henry Heimann, and a health lesson on cancer was given by Mrs. Oscar Miller. The members were thanked for their help at the 4-H fair, after which plans were made for echievement day October 10. Mrs. Lengerich gave the plans for the club trip which had been postponed from June until September 17 when the members will visit a T.V. show, the Seyfert food company. and Parkview memorial hospital. The county trip will be held in October with four days to be spent in southern Indiana.

A special feature of the meeting was the reading of two poems by Mrs. Smith, after which a game period was directed by Mrs. Melvin Mcßarnes. The meeting was closed with group singing and the club prayer followed with refreshments served by Mrs. Lengerich. Delta Theta Tau sorority members held a business and social meeting Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Melvin Weisman. Plans were made to attend the province convention, after which a luncheon was served by Mrs. Weisman and Mrs. Jay Markley. Prizes were won by Miss Rosemary Spangler and Miss Jane Lybarger. Mouse Is Blamed For Man's Electrocution FORT WAYNE, Ind. (UPI) -A curious mouse was blamed today for the electrocution of James D Maggard. 33, South Whitley. Maggard was killed Tuesday while using a welding machine at the Freuhauf Trailer Co. here. Officials took the machine apart and found a dead mouse stretched across‘two terminal plugs.
