Open House At New Addition The latest housing addition for Decatur, whieh is likely to become an integral residential link in the chain between Fort Wayne end Decatur, will sponsor an open house on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 9 p, m. True M. Andrews, owner of the Sunnybrook Acres addition, which is located about four miles north from the city limits on U. S. 27 and Williams road, said that local contractors have handled all the work on the model home and the two other houses presently under construction. The 27 lots, which are 100 by 150 feet in the addition, will be situated on Main street and Indiana street. The model home and the two others are on Main street. The southern boundary of the addition is an additional street, Brookside, which will run parallel to a creek, that will usefully serve as the carrier for ground water run-off. The model home, constructed completely of Stonite, the newest building material in the Decatur area, has three bedrooms, its own well and septic tank, a spacious kitchen with wood cabinets, and is completely furnished throughout. The house will be heated fey forced air from a gas furnace. Andrews said that the 11-acre area is restricted, and that 20 additional acres will be platted in the future. Those working on the construction of the house are: Arnold Lumber Co., Inc., building materials; Stonite Corp., the stone facing; Curtis Hill, electrical contractor; Lawson Plumbing and Heating; Allen Fleming, landscaping; Decatur Ready-Mix, Inc., concrete and supplies; Meshberger Bros, of Linn Grove, excavating, grading and crushed stone; and Stucky Furniture Co. of Monroe, household furnishings and appliances.
