Red Cross Service Clinic Ended Here Mary C. Larson, home service representative from Fort . Wayne, and Sefrna Bernstein, Red Cross field representative from Fort . Wjyne, shared the podium honors at the closing session of the twoday Red Cross home service clinic at the Decatur Youth and Community Center Tuesday. The highlight of the afternoon session yesterday was an open panel discussion moderated by Miss Bernstein, with Miss Larson as the technical source. The discussion centered on making home service personnnel aware of funds available for crippled children, administered through the department of public health and jyelfare. “The Indiana Crippled Children’s Society, in cooperation with federal, state, and county units of the Red Cross, has the right to suggest patients to utilize the benefits of the federal agency,” Miss Bernstein said. ? She added that, while this is not directly connected to Red Cross home service work, it is' related and should be known by personnel should the situation arise that warrants realization of its functions. The group also discussed emergency communications problems, medical care of wounded, transferral of financial assistance to servicemen and their families, and public health problems. Those in attendance for the sec-ond-day sessions, besides Misses Larson and Bernstein, were: Wilbur Petrie, Decatur chapter chairman; Mrs. Wanda Oelberg, executive secretary of Adams county; Mabie K. Beck, executive secretary of Goshen chapter; Mrs. Lee E. Chalfant, volunteer chairman of Huntington county; Mrs. Ray Overman, home service committee of Huntington county; Mrs. Lacy Denman, of Auburn; Mrs. Kathryn Yarger, executive secretary of Angola-Steuben; Mrs. F. M. Schaefer, office assistant in Huntington; Mrs. Joseph W. Briggs, executive secretary of Huntington; Inez Devenney, executive secretary of Warsaw, and Arietta Norris, staff aide at Warsaw.
