Assisted by the Rev. William Feller, the Rev. John Mishler read the double ring ceremony uniting in marriage Miss Joyce Arleen Frepls and Ronald David Corson at 6:30 *>’clock Saturday in the Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren. The new Mrs. Corson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Freels of rural rou\e 4. Her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Corson of Homestead 8. Mrs. Agnes Bushang of North Manchester, offered vocal selections. Organ music was presented by Miss Lois Hushbarger of Cincinnati, Ohio, while Miss Joyce Wort of Liberty, played piano numbers. Miss Freels was lovely in a bridal gown of pure silk organza over taffeta. The lace bodice of the gown featured an empire waist line, had a tiny mandauave collar and tapered lace sleeves. The flowing skirt of silk was gathered in the back with an insert of lace ending in a chapel train. A lace headpice detailed with pearls, held her fingertip veil of illusion and the bride’s bouquet consisted of a purple orchid on a white Bible. Miss Eleanor Muntzing of Roanoke. Virginia, college friend of the bride, was maid of honor in a pale blue floor length gown of taffeta over tulle. The gown was of colonial style with off the shoulder sleeves and a volumnious skirt which had a draped effect on either side caught up with a bow. Miss Muntzing's circular veil was caught to a band of braided horsehair entortwined with pearls. To complete her attire, she carried a cascade of carnations. Miss Jeannie Smith of route 4, was the bridesmaid in a dress identical to the honor attendant. Little Miss Deanice Ray of Decatur, was the flower girl in a matching blue gown. She scattered pink rose petals down the bride’s aisle. Wayne Byerly acted as best man ' for the wedding while Allan Freels, Gene Bluhm, Dan Ross, Rollie ZimmernThn, and John Wessler seated the guests. Jan Blume, nephew of the bride, -was ring bearer. For her daughter’s marriage, Mrs. Freels selected a navy blue dress of silk with a lace collar and white accessories. Mrs. Corson appeared in a navy eylet with dyed to match lace dress with white accessories. Both mothers had pink carnation corsages. Jt 4

A four tiered blue wedding cake encircled with white flowers, decorated the serving table at the reception held in the church social room following he ceremony. Approximately 250 guests were served by the Misses Marcia Fidler, Jannelle Roth, Ellen Yager, Doris Cauble, Donna Bixier, Jane Uhrick and Mrs. Wayne Byerly. Miss Elaina Hazlewood and Miss Linda Henschen carried the gifts. All of those assisting with the reception wore carnations. For a northern wedding trip, Mrs. Corson changed into a white sheath dress of embroidered cotton with white accesories. The bride and bridegroom are both 1957 graduates of Adams Central high school and she will be a senior at Manchester college this fall. The bridegroom will be a junior at Manchester college after attending two years at Heidelberg college at Tiffin Ohio. Folowing the trip, Mr. and Mrs. Corson will make their home at 507 Miami street, North Manchester.

VOWS ARE EXCHANGED IN INDIANAPOLIS Mrs. Charles D. Teeple of Second street, was a guest at the Marott hotel in Indianapolis over the weekend, when she attended the marriage of her granddaughter. Miss Joan McClintock. 1 Miss McClintock and William Alan Black of Chicago, 111., were married in a single ting ceremony at 12:30 o’clock Saturday in the. First Presbyterian church of Indianapolis. Dr. Roe H. Johnson, pastor of the church, officiated. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Temple McClintock of 9146 Washington Blvd., Indianapolis, and Mrs. Alan Black of Pala Alto, Calif. Given in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a gown of ivory candelight satin and chan“tilly lace fashioned along princess lines. Her full skirt extended into a circular chapel train and a nylon illusion fingertip veil was attached to a half wreath of stphanotis. Miss Carolyn Kaiser of Columbus, Ohio, was the maid of honor in a gown of romance blue nylon. Attending the bridegroom were Andrew Fordyce McClintock, best man,* and John L. Elliott and Dr. J. Henry Kaiser, ushers. A wedding breakfast followed in the parlors of the church, after which the couple left by plane for a wedding trip to the Bahamas. Miss McClintock is a graduate of Vassar college and the bridegroom of the University of Chicago. Upon return from their wedding trip in July, the couple will reside at 2339 Geneva Terrace, Chicago, where the bridegroom is engaged in the practice of law.

Alva Barr, 45. pastor of the Pleasant Mills Methodist church, was fatally injured when struck by an auto in front of the Pleasant Mills school. Carl C. Pumphrey, local jeweler, was elected to the Decatur school board by the city council. One hundred and fifty women attended the district NCCW meeting, held at the St. Rose school auditorium in Monroeville. The 120-piece Decatur school band marched in the peony festival at Van Wert, O. MRS. PAUL ERP IS RECENT HOSTESS Mrs. Paul Erp was hostess for the recent meeting of members of the Happy Homemakers Home Demonstration club. Nine members and three guests were present for the meeting. The club president, Mrs, Earl Harmon, opened the meeting with the members repeating the club creed and answering roll call by describing their wedding dresses. Minutes were read and approved, i after which Mrs. Erp presented the devotions. Mrs. Sheldon Wagley gave a lesson dealing with the ABC’s of health insurance. Mrs. John Geuth later told of bleaches, soaps, and detergents. WOMEN OF THE MOOSE MEET THURSDAY Women of the Moose met Thursday evening at the Moose home for a regular lodge meeting and election of officers. New senior regent is Mrs. Robert Morris while Mrs. Edward Vogelwede will be junior regent. Other officers are chaplain, Mrs. Robert Judt, treasurer, Mrs. Dora Cook, and recorder,, Mrs. Evelyn Kingsley. During the social part of the meeting, the door prize was presented to Mrs. Tom Noll. Members are asked to take note that there will be ritual practice Wednesday evening at the Moose home beginning at 6:30 o’clock. The next regular meeting will be held June 18 with an installation of officers. A dessert bridge will be held by members of So-eha-rae Thursday at 7:30 o’clock with Mbs. Russell Byer to be hostess at 103 North Fifth street. The Order of the Eastern Star members " will meet Thursday at 7:30 o'clock at the Masonic hall. District deputy, Mrs. Gale Davidson of For tWayne,' will be at the meeting for her official visit as will Mrs. Sonoma Woodruff. Initiation for new members will be held and all are urged to attend.

Richard Raver Weds Miss Jeanne Schilling

A prelude of traditional wedding selections was presented by Mrs. Earl Chase, who included in her selections the wedding march. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Russell Schilling and the late Russell Schilling of New Bremen, Ohio,
and the bridegroom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Raver of 728 Line Street, Decatur. Miss Schilling’s bridal' gown was of ballerina length and styled with a V neckline and short sleeves. The dress and her matching mitts were of Chantilly lace.
