St. Mary’s Catholic church was the scene of the double ring wedding ceremony of Miss Hazel Ann Roberts and Thomas Dean Titus at 10 o’clock this morning. The Rev. Robert Contant performed the ceremony in front of an altar graced with baskets of white mums. Miss Roberts is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Thomas Roberts, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wesley Titus are parents of the bridegroom. .; > Escorted to the altar by her father. Miss Roberts was lovely in princess styled gown of silk organza over taffeta. The molded bodice featured a portrait neckline trimmed with re-embroidered alencon lace and touched with sequins and pearls. Her floor length gown billowed into a chapel length train. A/ crown of orange blossoms held her fingertip veil of illusion and Amazon liles with shades Os pink created the bride's crescent

shaped bouquet. Sister of the bridegroom, Miss Janice Kay Titus, was the maid of honor while the bride’s sisters, Miss Judith Lynn Roberts and Miss Patricia Jean Roberts, were bridesmaids. All of the attendants were gowned ■ in ballerina length dresses of aqua silk organza over taffeta. The draped necklines had lace motifs which were also carried out in the bouffant skirts. Tiny short sleeves completed the gowns. Crowns held their nylon maline circular veils and to accent their ensemble, the attendants carried bouquets of pink majestic daisies. James Geels served as best man while Edward Mull and Ronald Edsall seated the guests. For her daughter’s wedding. Mrs. Roberts selected a pink cotton lace dress with matching Jacket. To complement her attire, she wore a corsage of toast colored cymbidium orchids. Mrs. Titus chose a mink lace sheath dress with matching jacket and a yellow and green cymbidium orchid corsage. The Moose home was the scene of the wedding dinner served to 26 people. From 7 until 11 o'clock tonight, a reception will be held at the Moose home with the Misses Rosemary Gase, Ann Durkin, Alice Gage, and Carolyn Heimann, and Mrs. Joseph Wyss and Mrs. Henry Miller as hostesses. For a wedding trip, the bride will change into an avacado sheath dress with three quarter length coat. Both Mr. and Mrs. Titus are Decatur Catholic high school graduates and she was formerly employed by the Miller-Jones shoe store in Decatur. The bridegroom is a General Electric employe in Fort Wayne. After June 13, the couple will be at home at 130 South Sixth street. IBnirfa Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nugent of West Palm Beach, Fla., are the parents of a girl born at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday. Mrs. Nugent is the former Libby Macy.

WOMEN’S GUILD MEETS AT REFORMED CHURCH Wednesday, the social room of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed church, was the scene of a meeting of members of the Women’s Guild. Mrs. Adolph Weidler, program chairman, opened the meeting with a prayer and then introduced her daughter, Elaine, who presented a flute solo. Mrs. Weidler spoke on the topic, “Religion and the Churches.” During her talk, she brought out some thoughts concerning prayer and other relative subjects. Reports on projects were given by the different committee heads during a business meeting conducted by Mrs. Rufus Kirchhofer. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Louisa Meyer, Mrs. Laures Meyer, Mrs. Charles Meyers, Mrs. John Meyers, Mrs. Donald Miller, and Mrs. Ed Miller. FINAL MEETING IS HELD RECENTLY The Epsilon Sigma chapter of Beta Sigma Phi members, held their last business meeting of the year recently at the Elks home. A yearly report was given by the officers' and the incoming president, Mrs. Edna Shannon, appointed the committees for the new year. Further plans were discussed for the annual round and square dance which will be held June 13 at Sunset park. ' Members and their husbands ate invited to attend the picnic to be held some time in July. Following the business meeting, the closing ritual ended the meeting. A meeting of the Zion Lutheran Missionary will be held Wednesday at 12 o’clock noon at the HannaNuttman shelter house. Rolls and coffee will be furnished, but members are asked to bring a covered dish and their own table service. Transportation can be obtained by calling 3-4246. Mrs. Kenneth Shannon will be hostess for a “little giH party” for members of the Delta Theta Tau sorority Tuesday at 8 o'clock. The Pheoble Bible class of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed church will meet Thursday at 8 o’clock in the church social room. ■ Profit and Pleasure Home Demonstration club members will meet Monday at 7:30 o’clock at the home of Mrs. Severin Schurger. A regular stated meeting of Rebekah lodge, will be held Tuesday at 7:30 o’clock at the 1.0.0. F. hall. The Eagles Auxiliary members will meet at 8 o’clock at the Eagles hall. Members are asked to remember the joint installation of the auxiliary and area to be held June 16. David Runyon of Decatur? has accepted a position as a counselor for cadets at the Culver Military Academy. Miss Etta Mallonee, is attending the marriage of her great-niece in Sturgis, Mich., today. James Reidenbach, son of Mrs. Frances Reidenbach, of Decatur, left for northern Michigan early this morning with a group of men from Fort Wayne, and his father, Herbert Reidenbach, for a week of fishing. Afc? Wren Agricolae Saturday, 14 members of the Wren' Agricolae 4-H club met at the Wren school. Advisor Paul Ross explained the meaning of 4-H. Tickets for the coming chicken barbeeue were distributed. The group also discussed the sale of the peony festival programs. Jim Gehres health director, gave his report. gg "

A 7 o’clock ceremony Friday' evening, united in marriage Miss Betty Jane Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Smith of 804 Jefferson street, and Robert Lee Hildebrand, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hildebrand of rural route 2. The Salem Evangelical and Reformed church at Magley was the scene of the wedding, with the '' Rev. Jack Grether, uncle of the bridegroom, officiating for the double ring ceremony. Musicale selections were presented by Jay Mar- ' tin, organist, and James Corah, vocalist, who sang "Always,” “Crossroads,” and “O Promise , Me.” > ■ The candlelight ceremony was held before an altar adorned with i palms, white mums, and beauty vases of white gladioli and blue f majestic daisies. White satin kneel- , ing pillows and white pew bows ) completed the setting. Given in marriage by her father, - the bride appeared in a ballerina i length gown of Swiss embroidered organdy. The bodice was styled . with brief sleeves and a scalloped square neckline. Miss Smith’s ■ bouffant skirt was detailed with a scalloped hemline and a wide border of embroidery. To enhance her attire, she wore a pearl necklace and earrings, a gift from the bridegroom. Tiny rhinestone studded bows held her fingertip veil of illusion and the bride carried a white 1 orchid centered in a cascade of blue and white daisies with ivy. A ballerina length dress of white sheer nylon was worn by Mrs. Lorna Smith Aurand, sister of the bride and matron of honor. Cuco print dots glinted the full skirt and bands of light blue satin circled her waist. A veil of matching blue was caught to a cap studded with rhinestones. To carry out the color of her gown, Mrs. Aurand carried a cascade of blue daisies and white mums. Pearls were also worn by the honor attendant, her gift from, the bride. Best man for the occasion was Kenneth Aurand and ushering for Mr. Hildebrand were David Beery and Max Egly. A light blue two piece suit dress with white lace and white accessories were worn by Mrs. Smith. The mother of the bridegroom appeared in a blue dress with matching lace and white accessories. Both mothers had corsage of pink and white mums. A reception followed the ceremony, with approximately 150 guests in attendance. A three tiered cake surrounded with greenery, decorated the serving table. Can* delabra and vases of white gladioli and blue. daisies were used throughout the serving room. Thirty seven members of the Heidelberg class of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed church met at the Hanna-Nuttman park shelter house for a pot luck supper recently. The next meeting will be held in July at the lake cottage of the Rev. and Mrs. William Feller. Tony Bonfiglio, of 616 W. Grant street, has been confined to the Veterans hospital in Fort Wayne since Sunday afternoon. During the first week, several blood transfusions have had to be administe’red for treatment of ulcers. His room number is 741 West. » Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gerber and Susan, Nancy, Jane, and David, will leave Sunday for Heidelberg College, Tiffin, 0., for the college’s yearly graduation ceremonies. Miss Sarah Gerber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerber, will receive her diploma, having received her bachelor of arts degree in elementary education in January. For the past school semester. Miss Gerber has been a kindergarten teacher in the Van Wert, 0., publia schools.

Arrangements of blue and white majestic daisy cascades graced the front of the First Methodist church for the 7:30 o’clock marriage Friday evening of Miss Janet Sue Lane to Mark D. Mitzner. Miss Lane is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Lane, of Decatur, and Mr. and Mrs. Delmar F. Mitzner, of Indianapolis, are the parents of the bridegroomThe Rev. F. Hazen Sparks read the double ring vows and organ music was provided by Mrs. Harry Dailey who included in her selections, "‘Romance,” "I Love Thee,” and “Thy Ring Upon My Finger.” Ice blue satin bows and a white carpet decorated the bridal aisle down which the bride was escorted by her father. A gown of silk organza with princess styling was worn by Miss Lane. Jeweled alencon lace flowers were appliqued to the scooped neckline of the fitted bodice, which also had short sleeves. A tiny bow detailed the top of the gown and the chapel length skirt flowed into a ruffle flounce near the bottom. Her fingertip veil of illusion was caught to a crown encrusted with pearls and she carried a white orchid arranged on a Bible. Miss Judith Lane, sister of the bride, was maid of honor in an ice blue ballerina length gown with princess designs. The gown featured a sweetheart neckline and short sleeves!* To complete her attire, Miss Lane wore a matching headband of taffeta and carried white butterfly roses on a lace fan. Serving his friend as best man was James Meyer, of Lafayette. David Parrish, of Indianapolis, and Roger Eley, of Decatur, friends of the bridegroom, seated the guests. Following the wedding, a reception was held at the Decatur Youth • and Community Center with 200 guests being received by the couple. Servers included the Misses Judith Ackley, Judy Locke, Anita Smith, and Sara Gerber. Miss Jane Worley Registered the guests and gifts were registered by Miss Sue Baer and Miss Marilyn Jefferies. For an unnounced wedding trip, the new Mrs. Mitzner changed into a navy blue satin backed file with a puritan color of whiteSjVith the dress she wore a matching three quarter length eoat. A graduate of Decatur high school, the bride will be a June graduate of Ball State Teachers College and in September will begin teaching duties at Edgelea elementary school in Lafayette. The bridegroom is a graduate of Howe high school and Purdue University. He will continue work in pharmacy at Purdue.
