aire Canadian who made a fortune in gold mines, was found bludgeoned to death in his bed in 1943. There had been a crude attemptTb biirn the body, but the bed only smouldered. Dixie Cats Provide Music At Breakfast Rock and roll rhythms will take a back seat at the all-night party for the 1959 Decatur high school class early Friday morning as the Dixie Cats will provide the musical fare for the Lions-sponsored breakfasters. Gener 1 chairman L. E. <23 Skidoo) Anspaugh said that the local combo of Chuck Kester, on
the ivories, Harold Cox, on horn, and Manuel Mendez, on, the licorice stick, wilt supplement the headline entertainer from Fort Wayne. The nostalgic aura created by the dixieland sounds appears to be more for the benefit of the sponsors, who are a bit older than their guests. Festivities for the all-night event will start with a dance at the high school, concluding with the breakfast at the American Legion home. Other facets of the
evening will include a luncheon at the Community and Youth Center, sponsored by Psi lota Xi, Tri Kappa, Beta Sigma Phi, and Delta Theta Tau, social sororities, and a special technicolor movie at the Adams theater, through the courtesy of owner Roy Kalver. Over 2.500 Dally Democrats are sold and delivered in Decatur each day.
