Schools Important Farm Food Market WASHINGTON (UPD—Elementary and public schools have become an important market for farm food products. The market has become to large that Agriculture. Department marketing researchers have started studying school feeding. Public schools in the 1957-58 school year spent 505 million dollars on food. Another 92 million dollars worth of food was donated to the schools by the federal government. Nearly ail the foods donated went to schools operating under the national school lunch program. Public schools received 231 million dollars worth of milk and milk products, excluding butter. These products accounted for 39 cents of foe school food dollar, with milk alone accounting for 32 cents. Fats and oils, including butter, delivered to schools were valued at 43 million dollars. Meats used by schools were valued at almost 108 million dollars, with hamburger accounting for 42 per cent of the meat total. About 60,000 of the 106,000 public schools in the United States offered a feeding service in the 1957-58 school year. More than 80 per oeht of these schools participated in the national school lunch program. These schools had an average daily attendance of around 21 million students. London Cop Killer Is Executed Today LONDON (UPD — Cop killer Ronald Marwood was hanged today at Pentonville Prison despite a protest riot by fellow convicts and a demonstration outside the prison gates. A crowd of 1,000 prayed all night and jeered police this morning. Marwood, 25, stabbed Patrolman Raymond Summers to death last December when the young constable tried to break up a fight. He was the first policeman slain after passage of a new homicide that makes the murders of a policeman a capital offense. Multiple murders also are punishable by hanging but many others including sex crimes and poisoning ale punishable only by life imprisonment. The last chance for Marwood was royal intervention, but a petition sent to Buckingham Palace and Queen Elizabeth II declaring “mercy is always the truer justice” went unanswered. More than 1,000 men in Pentonville Prison rioted against the scheduled execution but Were silenced by 100 policemen who rushed into the building. Some felons set fire to their mattresses, threw burning bits of papers out the window and banged in unison on cell doors. •'Marwood — Marwood — Marwood must not hang,” the prisoners chanted. “They are very incensed by the hanging,** one warder said. “But I think it is inspired by a hatred of the police, not a love of Marwood.” Outside the gates the crowd gathered to protest the execution and waited until the morning hours when news of the execution became official by the posting of the traditional notice on the prison gate. The Marwood execution reopened the national controversy over capital punishment and 150 members of Parliament, most of them Laborites, appealed unsuccessfully earlier this week to Home Secretary R. A. Butler to reprieve Marwood. Former Examiner Is Denied Venue Change ALBION, Ind. (UPD—Edwin A. Cambridge, 49, Greenwood, former examiner for the State Department of Financial Institutions, was denied a change of venue from Noble Circuit Court here Thursday. Cambridge was scheduled for trial June 15 on charges he was an accessory in Arnold Hobbs’ alleged embezzlement from the Noble County Credit Union. Train Crash Fatal To Brownsburg Man DANA, Ind. (UPD—Harold Pedlfo, 50, Brownsburg, was killed Thursday when his car was struck by a Milwaukee Railroad freight train at a crossing on U.S. 36 about a half mile from the Illinois state line. The car was dragged more than 1,400 feet before engineer L. A. White, Terre Haute, could stop the train. \

To win the award, Bleeke gave the “Mystery Motorist” the six steps of “Golden Approach” service, which included a friendly approach; checking under the hood of the car; cleaning all the car windows; whisk-brooming the floor mats; checking the tires; and thanking the customer for his purchases. At the conclusion of the services, the customer identified himself as a Phillips “Mystery Motorist” and left a SSO certificate at the service station.
