Verltn Egly Makes Emergency Landing VerlinEgly, former Decatur resident, now living in Fort Wayne, and son of Mrs, Alvin Egly, of Decatur, was forced to make an emergency landing at Plymouth Thursday evening. Egly, a pilot for the Fort Wayne Air Service, located at Baer Field, was flying a plane to Baer Field from Chicago, and was forced to make an emergency landing at the Plymouth airport about 8 o’clock due to power failure. Egly stated today that he was not injured in the landing, and that the plane received only minor damage. Egly is a graduate of Decatur high school, and served in the U.S. air force as a pilot before accepting the pilot ,position with the Fort Wayne Air Service.
