' A lovely candlelight ceremony united in marriage Friday evening **>Aliss Donna Gene Miller and Roe sLlen Lehman. The Rev. Edward Pacha read the double ring rites at 8 o’clock in the Fitst Christian church. Candelabra, palms and white gladioli formed the setting for the ceremony, and nuptial music was provided by organist Chet Longenburger and vocalist, Harry Smith. Miss Miller is the daughter of Mrs. Vivian Milter of 158t4 South Second street and Paul Miller of Fort Wayne. The bridegroom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter B. her gown of embroidered tulle over taffeta, was led to the altar on the arm of her father. The molded bodice of the floor length gown featured a scalloped sabrina neckline with long sleeves ending in points over her hands. The bouf•fant skirt had an apron effect of scalloped matching tulle over tiers of tulle ruffles. The ruffles were carried out in the back of the gown with a bustle effect. The bride’s tapered fingertip veil of silk illusion was caught to a crown of white orange blossoms and her white orchid with matching 'streamers adorned a white Bible. Mint green, spring blue, and spring pink, highlighted the gowns : of the- maid of honor and brides-; maids, respectively, who were Miss Jacqueline Burke, Miss Twila Arnold, and Miss Wanda Neuenschwander. Styled of chiffon over taffeta, the gowns were of a princess style with scooped necklines. Streamers of matching chiffon fell in folds at the backs of the waltz length skirts. The attendants wore matching headpieces of acetate rayon and tulle and carried colonial bouquets of blue iris with pink and white carnations and streamers. The Misses Susan Buskell, Judy Hart, and Susan Shraluka were flower girls and formed a gate at j the first row of seats at the front of the church. They wore pink, blue, and yellow dresses with nylon bodices ahd matching lace over skirts. White shoes, gloves, and colonial bouquets completed their attire. Cary McCune was best man for the spring wedding and Gale Schaadt, Dale Hirschy, Miles Zimmerman, and Stanley Arnold seated the Groomsmen were Dale Hirschy and Gale Schaadt. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Miller selected a navy blue silk shantung dress with white accessories and a pink rose corsage. Mrs. Lehman also chose a navy blue dress with pink accessories and a pink rose corsage. A yellow and mint green color scheme was used for decorations in the reception rooms. A four tiered cake with pale yellow icing, light pink roses, and blue bifds centered the table. Servers were Mrs. Max Elzey, Mrs. Kenneth Bieberich, Miss Beverly Thieme, and Miss Gretchen Lankenau. Mike Cole, was auditor. A figured two piece dress of navy blue and red with white accessories was worn toy the new Mrs. Lehman and she completed her going away outfit with a -white orchid corsage. A graduate of Decatur high school, the bride is also a graduate of modeling and charm school in Fort Wayne. The bridegroom is a graduate of Adams Central high schol and engaged in farming. The new Mr. and Mrs. Roe Lehman will reside on route 4 following their wedding trip to Florida. Among the out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Glassburn and family of South Bend, Mrs. Richard Buskell and daughter of Bluefield, West Virginia, Mr. and Mrs. Clarkson Clevenger and family of Muncie, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Yoder and, daughter of LaFountain. WOMAN’S CLUB MEETING TO FEATURE SPEAKER Members of the Woman’s club will feature Hubert Feasel, art instructor at Adams Central, as their guest speaker Monday evening at 8 o'clock at the Decatur Youth and Community Center. The art teacher will tell those in attendance about mosaics. Mrs. Kenneth Arnold is chairman for the program, which is to be provided by members of the Art department. Assisting the chairman are Mrs. Lloyd Cowans and Miss Kathryn Kauffman. Mrs. Richard Mies, who is in charge of a collection of sewing supplies,** a recent project of the Junior Women, asks that all department members bring some type of sewing item such as thread needles, pins, measuring tap£, and thimbles, to the meeting and place them in a box by the door. The colleted goods wil be added to others to make sewing baskets w’hieh will be sent to the Philippines. MISS JEAN KOLTER IS RECENT HOSTESS The April meeting of the Magley Girls Guild, was held recently at the home of Miss Jean Kolter. The meeting was opened with the group singing, “Trust And Obey.” Miss Janet Schaffer, lesson leader for the evening, read j I scripture and led in a prayer. She , 1 used as her lesson theme, the book . “Twixt 12 and 20” which was writ-' ten by Pat Boone. “I Would Be True,” was sung by the group to close the meeting. After a short btSflness meeting, , refreshments were served' by the , hostess. Members of the Kum Join Us class of the Bethany Evangelical United Brethren church will meet Tuesday at 7:30 o’lock in the church basement. A meeting of the V.F.W. Auxiliary will be held Monday at 8 o’- | clock at the post home. Wednesday at 2 o’clock, members of the Ruth and Naomi Circle of the Zion E. and R. church will meet at the church. The meeting of the Adams county Democratic Women’s club to be held at Berne Tuesday, will feature a potluk supper at 6:30 o’clock in the director’s room of the First Bank of Berne. Church Mother’s Study club members will meet at the home of Mrs. Doyle Collier Tuesday at 8 o’clock. An election of officers will be held. Members of the Shakespeare club meet Thursday instead of Tuesday of next week for their closing luncheon to be held at the Youth Center at 1 n'r-lnck, !L©(£illls Mrs. Lase Grimm was admitted Friday evening to the Parkview memorial hospital, Fort Wayne, where she underwent surgery today. Msr. Roger Borne and children Terri Jo and Gregg, of Salem. Mass., and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lichtenstiger and daughter Cindy Jo of Baltimore, Md., have returned* to their homes after a visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Uchtensteiger. They also attended the wedding of their brother. Richard, to Miss Ruth Bek of Fort Wayne. Phil Bollinger, Joe Grogg, and David Stucky, recently attended an LP gas service school in Indianapolis.

Youth Center,1 p.m. Girl's Hand Badly Mangled By Drill Laura Meyer, nine-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Meyer, of Bluffton route 4, was scheduled for further surgery at Parkview hospital in Fort Wayne to repair her right hand which was badly mangled in the gears of a seed drill Thursday. She was rushed to the hospital Thursday shortly after the 8:30 p.m. accident. The attending nurse reported her hand was in bad condition, but her overall status was good. Her father told the state police, who escorted the Meyer's automobile to the hospital, .that he was seeding oats on their farm two' miles east and one-half mile north of Bluffton at the time of the acci- i dent. The girl had been sitting on | the drill and caught her hand ini the moving gears. Pfc. Jerry Miller Greatly Improved Pfc. Jerry Miller is greatly improved. his mother. Mrs. Vivian Miller, reported today after returning from a severai days’ visit with him in Virginia. Jerry was hurt several weeks ago in a carmotorcycle accident at the base where he is stationed in the east. Since the accident, he has had two major operations and his mother stated that the last operation on his leg, will conclude all major surgery he might need. Decatur area residents were asked to send cards to the injured youth and the response very great. Mrs. Miller saidthatwhen She had left. Jerry had received over 150 cards. Mrs. Miller asked that if any other cards are sent to her son, that the company and battalion be left off to enable faster delivery to the hospital. The revised address is, Pfc. Jerry D. Lough, 21, of Decatur, was arrested by the city police Friday afternoon while riding a motorcycle on Second street* for driving while suspended. Miss Sheets will graduate this May from Decatur high school and the bridegroom, a 1955 graduate of Adams Central high’ school, is now serving in the Brethren Volunteer service at Baltimore, Md. A summer wedding is being planned by Miss Sheets and her fiance.
Two Men Arrested Here During Night A local resident, Joseph A. Martz 36, route six, Decatur, and a former resident, Ray A; Schott; 40, Fort Wayne, were jailed last night and Carly today on charges filed by the city police. Martz was arrested: by the city police at 1:55 a.m. today on three counts and placed in the county jail during the remainder of the night. Martz was arrested on Winchester street and charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, and public intoxication. The case was set for Monday at 9 a.m. in mayor’s court. A bond of S3OO was set today' by Mayor Robert D. Cole for Martz’ release. Schott was arrested by city police at 9:30 p m Friday on Third street for public intoxication. He was placed in the county' jail pending ' the hearing set for Monday mornpng in mayor's court at 9 o'clock. | A bond of SSO was set today for his release. / ' ■ Motorist Is Fined On Speeding Charge A fine of $18.75 was paid in justice of the peace court Friday nTght by Ole Bakke, 32, Fort Wayne, for a recent speeding offense. Bakke was arrested by the state police Monday on U.S. 27 about five miles north of Decatur on the speeding charge. He was charged with driving 75 miles per hour. Illinois Man Killed When Plane Crashes SYRACUSE, Ind. (UPD —Leon Richard Reynolds, 36, Joliet, 111., was killed Friday when his expensive private plane crashed into a cornfield about a mile northwest of here after the tail assembly apprently was ripped from the craft in flight. State Police said the single engine plants was owned by the Rey-nolds-Collins Co. of Joliet. It was valued at SIB,OOO.
