Four Anerkas Die J ~ In Nicaragua Crash MANAGUA, Nicaragua (UPD—A British - made prop - jetliner crashed near here Thursday, momenta after takeoff from Mercedes .Airport, kililng 15 of the It persons aboard. Four of the dead were: Americans. Two American stewardesses, Nancy Niesgoda, of Mannington, W. VI.. and Laura Direnzo, a naturalised American from Hamiitec. Ont., escaped serious injury but were hospitalized for treatment of extreme shock. The four-engined Viscount, operated by Central America’s Taca Airline, was outbound for Managua on a flight to Honduras and El Salvador at the time of the crash. The pilot, the co-pilot and two passengers—aß killed in the crash —were identified as Americans.
