FBI agents and Indiana State Police Monday arrested Richard Earl Rhoads. 33, in Indianapolis where he was working as a television repairman. He was charged with taking part in the holdup of the Mount Summit branch of the I Citizens State Bank of New Castle on Dec. 18, 1957, in which three men fled with $6,249. «. Cold Weather Keeps Its Grip On Dixie United Press International Cold weather maintained its grip on parts of Dixie, early Tuesday in the wake of snow squalls that dumped up to four inches at Kinstem, N. C. Overnight readings in the 30s chilled sections of northern Florida and Georgia, although temperatures in the 40s predominated over most of Florida and Georgia. A storm system that hit Florida with high winds powered up the coast Monday into the Carolinas, dumping snow, sleet and rain in its path. Schools were closed at Kinston when the snow depth hit four inches. Winston - Salem, N. C. measured two Inches and Charlotte 1% inches. The snow melted as temperatures climbed above freezing during the day. Cold weather also invaded the nation's centrsl portion, pushing into the Great Lakes and south ' into central Texas. Light snows occurred during the night from the eastern Dakotas across Minnesota and into the northern Great Lakes. The heaviest amounts fell along J the southern shores of Lake Su- ! perior. Ahead of the cool air, southerly . winds carried warm weather from t the Gulf Coast into Ohio. Overnight readings averaged about 15 degrees higher than the previous ' night, ranging from about 60 along [ the coast through the 50s and 40s over Kentucky and Ohio. [ Thundershowers broke out , where the cool and warm air masses collided in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and northern Louisiana. There are more than 13,000 women bartenders in the United States. ret-p
