OHIO MAN TO WED PENNSYLVANIA OWL A summer wedding is being planned by Miss Doris Ann Alleman of Shippensburg, Pa., and her fiance, Boyd Hey of route 1, Wilshire, Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Alleman and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hey are parents of the couple. Miss Alleman is a graduate of Shippensburg Area high school and is a junior at Huntington college. Hey, who attended Huntington college, is employed by the Moldenhauers fruit and nursery farm of Huntington. ? . OHIO GIRL TO ■ - ■ IZ—-4 WED APRIL 11 The engagement and approaching marriage of Miss Emma Marsee to William Lee Cain, has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. McKinley Marsee of Ohio City, Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Fred T. Cain of Celina are parents of the future bridegroom. The bride-elect is a graduate of Willshire high school and is employed by Lincoln Life Insurance company in Fort Wayne. Cain attended Celina high school and is employed by the Jay Electric company tn Lima. The wedding is set for April 11. aKT DEPARTMENT meets AT LEO CURTIN HOME The Art Department members of the Decatur Woman's club met Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Leo Curtin. Mrs. M. A. Frisinger called the meeting to order, after which the members repeated the club collect. During the business meeting, the group voted to change the time for future meetings to 8 o’clock instead of the present time of 7;30 o’clock. Mrs. W. W. Cravens, chairman for the evening, presented a lesson on tapestry and outlined the history of the art. She placed particular emphasis on the period of the ’’

She described the high warp and low larp looms and the processes of weaving and dyin gthe thread. Refreshments were served at the close of the meeting by the hostess, assisted by Mrs. W. W. Cravens, Mrs. Homer Lower, and Mrs. Russell Owens, MRS. CHARLES WHITTED IS GUEST OF HONOR Mrs. Francis Eady was hostess recently for a party given in honor of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Whitted, who was visiting from Gary. ‘ The evening was spent in playing bridge, at which time prizes were awarded to Mrs. Everett Faulkner, Jr., of Bluffton and Mrs. James Hunter and Mrs. Jack Schnepf of Decatur. Refreshments were later served from a table covered with white linen and'centered with an aw-angement of pine greens and red candles. Those attending the celebration were Mrs. Ned Johnson, Mrs. Everett Faulkner, Mrs. Carl Barnett, Mrs. Guy Koos, Mrs. Jack Schnepf, Mrs. James Hunter, and Mrs. David Terveer. Mt. HAIRSTYLING IS TOPIC AT JUNIOR WOMEN MEETING Four members of the Junior Women’s department had their hair styled during the program presented to that group Monday evening. Mrs. James Webb was hostess for the group. Paul Raymann, director of the Fort Wayne beauty school and well known hair stylist, presented an intertsting and informative program concerning curent hair styn les. Members who acted as models and received new hair styles were Miss Jackie James. Mrs. Floyd Reed, Mrs. James Engle, and Mrs. Karen Hardy. Throughout the course of the evening, Raymann was assisted by his wife and Mrs. Alice Harman of Decatur, who is currently attending the beauty school in Fort I Wayne. The guest artist told of his wide experience in the field of hair styling and answered many questions concerning hair sprays and other hair accessories. He also analyzed several of the members, telling them styles that would be becoming to them.- - ■ 7-' During the business meeting which preceded the demontration, roll call and minutes were presented by the secretary, Mrs. Carl Faurote. A report by Mrs. Kenneth Wynxan, club treasurer, followed. Mrs. Richard Mies, president, gave the final reports concerning the club’s Christmas projects, after which she urged the members to assist the Red Cross in its drive for blood donors January 14. Money from the sale of Swiss cookies was collected by Mrs. Webb, who is chairman of that project. She announced that there are several boxes remaining to be sold and anyone desiring to purchase them may contact any member of the club. Tentative plans were made for the March general meeting which will be under the direction of the Junior Women, with Mrs. Ned Roop and Mrs. William McColly in charge. Mrs. Reed reported on her committee’s visit to the Decatur school board at which time they presented a letter informing the board of the survey the- club is going to make to find if a school lunch program is wanted in Decatur. Dick Boch, former county surveyor and prominent civil engineer in Decatur, is still convalescing at the. Adams county hospital, where he is happy to receive cards from old friends or talk to them during visiting hours. John R. Parrish, well-known Decatur businessman and a member of the Waddington township advisory board, celebrated his 89th birthday Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Loshe have rec e i v e d Word that their daughter-in-law, Mrs. Charles Loshe, is beginning to improve since becoming critically ill Friday. She is the former Miss Louise Farnsworth of Monroeville and she mid her husband now reside in Flint, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Borne left Tuesday for Long "Beach, Calif., where they will stay with Mr. and Mrs. Glenden Borne sand family and Mr. and Mrs. Doyal Franz and family. The emergency run of the sheriff department this mormng was necessary to bring blood from the Fort Wayne blood bank to the Adams county merporial hospital, where ft was needed for a Union township lad undergoing surgery. Henry Ascnliman, well-known French township Ayrshire cattleman, was transferred from the Adams county memorial hospital to « the Lutheran hospital in Fort Wayne for further treatment. Robert Doan, Decatur school teacher, was transferred to the Lutheran hospital yesterday for ex-, amination by a specialist in connection with a chronic spinal disorder that bothers him occasionally. The examination was completed. and he returned home this morning.
