FRIDAY American Legion Auxiliary, Gold Star Mothers pa Ay, Legion home, 7:30 p.m. Girl Scouts A special meeting of troop 224 was held recently with a pot luck supper served following, a fly up ceremony in which each girl contributed her knowledge to become a Girl Scout. Present were Janie Macklin, Pam Koos, Susan Ellis, Susan Langston, Carol Smith, April Fisher, Carolyn Harmon, and Debbie Strickler. The girls had their mothers as guests. Saturday, the girls met the Community Center with all members present. Plans were made for 1 a Christmas party which will ~be held December 28, at which time the merit badges will be discussed. Scribe, Debbie Strickler. Girl Scout troop 212 met Wednesday evening after school. The girls wrapped Christmas gifts for mental health patients and looked Over the rest of the first class rank. They also received peanut sales folders. There will be no meeting this week. Scribe, Sarah Sutton. At the Adams county memorial hospital: William and Bennedette Braun Lengerich of 812 North Second street, became parents of a seven pound, 15 ounce boy at 12:56 p.m. Saturday. A six pound, 11 ounce boy was born Saturday at 11:33 a.m. to Carl and Mary Beer Fiechter of route 4, Bluffton. At 6:01 a.m. Sunday, Dan M. and Cathrine Schwartz Schwartz of route 2, Berne, became parents of an eight pound, 10 ounce boy. Robert and Mildred Barger Riley of route 6, are parents of a six pound, eight ounce girl born Sunday at 4:45 p.m. At 9:10 o'clock Sunday evening, a boy weighing ten pounds and seven ounces was born to William and Joan Fishbough Weikel of route 1, Berne. | Modern Etiquette | By ROBERTA UEE o s — o Q.
