Ex-State Senator Dies Os Injuries KNOX, Ind. <UPI) —Claude S. Steele, 76, state senator from Starke and LaPorte Counties from 1919 to 1927, died Friday from injuries received in a two-car crash at the intersection of U S. 35 and Ind. 8 a mile north cf here Oct. 15. Steele, a Republican, died in Starke Memorial Hospital. He was publisher of c Starke County Republican \ "y newspaper here from 1927 1945.
