Lutheran Rally Is Held Sunday Night Lutheran Laymen And Women In Meeting The Rev. Harold Ott,of Trinity Lutheran church in Fort Wayne, and until recently mission secretary for Latin America, with offices at St. Louis, told members of the Lutheran women’s missionary league and the Lutheran laymen’s league of slow but steady progress of missionary activities in that area at a joint rally held Sunday evening at St. John's school. Rev. Ott traced the growth and told of expansion plans in Central and South America where native missionaries are being trained in seminaries subsidized by the Lutheran Church-Missouri synod. Separate meetings of the LLLi and LWML were held. Earl Caston of Decatur presided at the men's meeting. Elbert Fuhrman reported that the league had enrolled 46% of the total communicants for a new record. This represented an increase of 110 members and brought the local total to 1423 members in the Decatur zone. • Claudia Caston won the zone Valpo scholarship and is now on I Perfect Partners Printed Pattern ‘ /IV* SIZES \ » 10-18 inj SHAPE of the news!
