111- JJ A prayer of St. Francis is as applicable today as it was when he ifrrote it years ago and worthy of our attention. “O Lord, our Christ, may we have thy mind and Spihit. Make us instruments of thy peace. Where there is rathed let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where tfyere is despair, hope; where there is darkness. light; where there is sadnes, joy. “O Divine Master, grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is ing iving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned. And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen." May this prayer which poured from the pure soul and heavenly mind of a servant of God hundreds of years ago be my prayer and yours. It might be weU to consider what have been the opinions of great men of the past regarding the importance of church attendance and keeping the Sabath. “Where there is no Christian Sabbath, there is no Christian morality; and without this, free institutions cannot long be sustained.” Gladstone said, “From a moral, social and physical point of view the observance of Sunday is a duty of obsolute consequence.” The Sabbath is an isle of safety in the midst of the busy week. The church is the house of God where we enter to worship and depart to serve. Why not accept the invitation and come to church next Sunday?
