Lotto said that Miss Paperman, who probably knows more than any other one person about Goldfine’s controversial operations, discovered that books, records, correspondence, lists, cancelled checks, photo copies, and other documents bearing on the Goldfine case bad been removed from the closet of her room. Letter to Committee Goldfine, on completing his testimony last Thursday, returned to Boston with his wife and members of his personal staff for the weekend. Miss Paperman stored a number of confidential files in the closet of her hotel room there. She .<=»*-*..the documents envelopes. Robb demanded In a letter to Harris that members of the investigating subcommittee state openly whether staff personnel had violated the client-attorney relationship by secretly recording his talks with Goldfine. Robb declared Goldfine, whose relationship with Presidential Aide SiuSman Adams is under investigation, should have the opportunity to hear testimony under oath of persons who may have been involved in tape recording operations of the committee staff. Robb’s letter was an outgrowth of an- uproarious night in the Sheraton Carlton Hotel where a private detective employed by Goldfine’s staff discovered a secret tape recording session in progress and found Sacklette and Anderson at the bottom of it. “A Very Serious Thing” Subcommittee counsel Robert Lishman said that he had not authorized Shacklette to plant microphones at Goldfine’s hotel headquarters. Chairman Oren Harris (D-Ark.) made a similar disavowal. “He was not even supposed to ' be working on this phase of the , (Adams - Goldfine) investigation,” Lishman told United Press International. Pearson made it plain he does not intend to fire Anderson. Paraphrasing recent remarks by Pres- [ ident Eisenhower, the columnist said his assistant “had been imprudent but I need him.” NOTICE STATE OF INDIANA SS: COUNTY OF ADAMS ADAMS COINTY FARM BUREAU COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION.
