Miss Kenny Peck, duaghter of Dr. and Mrs. Ed Peck, has accepted a job in Cape Cod, Mass, for the summer. She will be staytog with Mrs. Peck’s sister, Mrs. D. H. White, while there. Miss Peck's eastern address is North Eastham, Cape Cod, Mass. Mrs. Frank Grice and her daughter Karen, returned home Friday evening from Columbus, Ohio. Karen was entered In Doctors Hospital at Columbus Tuesday for surgury on one leg. This was Karen’s fourth operation since 1955 when she suffered a postpolio shortening of her leg. Dr. Harold E. Clybourne, an orthopedic surgeon, has performed the operation. After visiting with Mrs. Dora Bess and friends, Mr. and Mrs. • Frank Lundin are returning to their homo in Lake Hamilton, Florida. They invite their friends to stop and see them when traveling in Florida. - Mr. and Mrs. John Drake and daughters Judy and Janet, have returned from the Smokey Mountains. While there they visited an Indian reservation and other historical landmarks. Mrs. Ernest S. Scott, of Clinton, la., her daughter and family of Baltimore, Md., Visited Sunday with friends in Decatur Sunday. Mrs. Scott informed friends that her husband, better known as Ernie. died suddenly of a heart attack last March at their winter home in St. Petersburg, Fla., Mr.Scott was employed for several years as an engineer by the Cea. tral Soya Co. in Decatur, leaving here for a similar position with Pillsburg at Clinton, la. Reigning at the Elkhart University annual homecoming-dance, were King Dean French and __Queen Mary Megermis. the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold French, Celina, Ohio, and the grandson of Mrs. Iva Fuhrman of route 1. Decatur. Dean is enrolled in the dental laboratory technician course at z EWthart. ' » Lawrence Gerber has returned to his duties at Gerber’s Central Dairy after an illness of three weeks. Sister M. Odelia, of Wisconsin, is presently visiting witty her sister and other relatives in Decatur. Over the weekend the John Hill family moved from the Tucker property on Welty street, Berne, to a house a half block south of there, owned by Raymond Zehr, of Russell street. Spending Sunday with the Lester Huser family at Lake James were Mr. and Mrs. Delmas Feasel, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Feasel and family, Larry Foreman, and James, Joan and Janet Hannin, Decatur. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stuckey, of North Thirteenth street, and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Stuckey, Berne, have left on a three-week trip for California, visiting points of interest along the way. While in California, they will visit with Mrs. Earl Winteregg and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Winteregg and family. Mr. and Mrs. Glenford Beltler, Mix avenue, attended the Roth reunion at Elmira, 0., over the weekend. This weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Nevil, of South Thirteenth street, accompanied the Misses Carolyn, Virginia and Mary Ellen Smitley to their home at Milton, Wis. At the Teeter reunion Sunday from Decatur were Mr. and Mrs. Perry Teeter, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Morningstar, Terry and Jerry, Virgil Morningstar, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Foreman, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Bearde, Judy and Marilyn and Manley Foreman. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gerber and children Susan, Nancy, Jane and David, were Sunday guests at the John De Voss cottage at Lake George. The Gerbers have rented a cottage there for the latter part of August. ■.
