versity’s Technological Institute. Directing the project is Awso. Prof. John O. Brittain. The 'National Science Foundation awarded a two-year $25,400 grant to the school for the project.

Annual Flower Show Winners Are Listed Annual Show Held , r By Decatur Clubs About 200 visitors viewed the flower show held Saturday at the Decatur public library. Three accredited judges from Muncie, present to judge the flower entries, included Mrs. Gladys Ammon. Mrs. Herman HOI9I, and Mrs. Simpson Stowe. The three used the point system of the national council of the State Garden clubs in their judging. This has been the first time that this system has been used in Decatur but jt has been chosen because the state laws are becoming more strict. Participants in the show, if in ; doubt as to the* way the system is I used, can check with either the DeI catur Garden club or the Rose Garden club. Each club ha& a 'handbook entitled “The Handbook, j for Flower Shows,” and in it the participants will find the point system explained. Mrs. Grover Levy, Mrs. Harold Owens, and Mrs. G. D. Mac Lean ' each won a sweepstage ribbon for ' the most blue ribbons in HorticulI ture and arrangements. Berne Woman Dies 1 Monday At Hospital Hannah Sprunger Is Taken By Death Miss Hannah Sprunger, 80. of Berne, died at 5:15 p. m. Monday in the Adams county memorial hospital, of carcinoma and a heart ailment. Admitted to the hospital early Saturday morning, she had been a semi-invalid for 25 years and bedfast for five years. A native and lifelong resident of Berne, she was a member of the First Mennonite church. Surviving are five sisters, the Misses Mary Ann, Milka, Rose and Alina Sprunger, Berne, and Mrs. Bertha Kaufman, Freeman. S. D. The body is at the Yager funeral home, where friends ■ may call after 10 a. m. t Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday in the First Mennonite church, the Rev. Gordon Neuenschwander will officiate, and burial will be in the MRE cemetery.
