Labor Shortage On Farms Is Expected Labor And Demand Are Now In Balance INDIANAPOLIS (UP)—Hoosier • farmers may experience some labor shortages later this month and in June, the weekly farm labor bulletin of the Indiana Employment Security Division predicted today. ‘ The report said labor and demand are currently in balance byt ' added more labor will be required because of above-normal tomatoseeding activity. Attend Convention Os Musicians Union Medford Smith and William Hernandez attended the annual state convention held at Hammond, for the American Federation of Musicians last Sunday, Jim Webb, president of the local 607 unison, said the two men mentioned were representing this union for the affair. Many points of interest were discussed at the convention, but the most important that band instructors were asked to encourage the more naturally talented, to “keep music alive" and to keep their interest in the music field. It was also announced that the national convention would be held in Philadelphia in August. The annual musicians local 607 steak dinner will be held at the Bluffton county club at 6:30 p.m. May 20.
