Miss Joyce Loshe Wed This Morning . To Vincent Faurote The Rev. Msgr. Joseph J. Seimetz officiated at the double ring ceremony which united Miss Joyce Helene Loshe and Vincent A. Faurote in marriage this morning at the St. Mary's Catholic church. Baskets of gladolias in various spring shades decorated the church for the 9 o’clock ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard T. Loshe, 316 North Fourth street, arc the parents of the bride and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Henry Faurote, 430 Bollman street. Singing the Missa Tertia by Haller during the mass, was the St. Mary’s male choir. The musicale was varied at the offertory when they sang Maria," by Arcadelt, and later when the selections, “Blessed Mother” hymn and “Remember Holy Alary” were sung. Given in marriage by her father, the brid£ chose a chapel length gown of embroidered tulle which fashioned a molded tulle bodice, brief sleeves and a sabrina neckline outlined with embroidered scallops. Her bouffant skirt was enhanced with tiers of cascades forming the back treatment and ending in a chapel train. A lace and taffeta plateau sprinkled with pearls held her fingertip veil of French illusion The bride completed her attire by wearing a single strand of pearls and carrying a white orchid on a white prayer book, surf oiinded” withfeatheredwhite ' nations and streamers. Miss Susie Holthouse, a friend of the bride, acted as the maid of honor, while Miss Henrietta Faurate, sister of the groom, and Miss Antoinette Faurote, niece of the bridegroom, acted as the bridesmaid and flower girl, respectively. The attendants wore gowns of white nylon organdy embroidered in aqua. At the meeting, held at the Smith home, some work was done for the cancer society, after which ggmes were played. Also at the meeting, several new members were welcomed into the club. They include Mrs. DeWayne Grafton, Mrs. Robert Chappuis, and Mrs. Noll Burton. i Mrs. Smith, assisted by Mrs. James Gotch and Mrs. John Schauss, served refreshments prior to the dismissal of the group. V.F.W. AUXILIARY HOLDS INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS Members of the Decatur Veterans of Foreign Wars 6236 and its auxiliary held a joint installation recently at the post home. At the beginning of the evening, the V. F. W. officers were installed after which, Mrs. Raymond Ballard, past president, installed into office, Mrs. Murris Gray, president; Mrs. Nellie Jackson, senior vice president; Mrs. Alva Railing, junior vice president; Mrs. Stan Kling, treasurer; Mrs. Clarence Hook, chaplain; Mrs. Robert Witham, guard; Mrs. Raymond Bodie, conductress; and Mrs. Kenneth Birch, Mrs. Delbert Augusburger, and Mrs. Ray Ballard, trustees. COOKIES ARE GIVEN TO COUNTY HOME RESIDENTS Surprise packages of home made cookies,, ; tied with white robbin bows, were placed cm a large table at the Adams county home for the residents of the home by th? Women’s Christian Temperance Union of Monroe. The group met Thursday afternoon at the county home to hold a meeting and to later tour the home. The meeting, held in the chapel of the home, was opened by the president, Mrs. Orville Lenhart, who presented a prayer after which the song “What a friend we have in Jesus,” was sung by the group, accompanied by Mrs. Clifford Essex at the piano. Mrs. William Butcher then gave the devotions and the president took the foot. She spoke on the topic, “I have met someone today

Third Street, will celebrate her 16th birthday Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Bohnke have returned from visiting with their son and family, Dr. and Mrs. Harold W. Bohnke, and son, Eric, in San Antonio, Texas. While on their trip they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.

John Voltz, of route 2, Ohio City, has also been admitted to the Van ’ Wert county hospital. 1 Elizabeth Doehrman Named To Honorary Miss Elizabeth Doehrman, of . route one, has recently been pledged to Kappa Delta Pi, national honorary for education students, at Purdue university. The chapter pledges only those students who are in the upper, fourth of their class. Miss Doehrman is a junior in the school of science at Purdue. s The purpose of Kappa Delta Pi is to encourage high professional personal and intellectual standards and to recognize outstanding contributions to education.
