Mikoyan To Sign West German Pact Trade Agreement To Be Signed For Reds FRANKFURT, Germany (UP)Soviet Deputy Premier Anastas Mikoyan, last of the Stalin old guard to survive Nikita Khrush chev’s rise to power, arrived here today to sign a 750 million dollar trade agreement with West Germany. "Die stony faced statesman, leading trade and economic specialist of the Kremlin, turned history back nearly 20 years when he flew in aboard a TUIO4 jet airliner. The last Soviet-G er m a n trade pact was signed in 1939, two weeks before Hitler invaded Holland Mikoyan, a heavy-mustached Armenian, set a number of firsts on his visit. He is the first Soviet minister to visit West Germany, and his plane was the first jet civilian airliner to touch down on the Rhein-Main Airport — beating out a French Caravelle airliner by five days. Mikoyan did not disclose what other surprise packages he might have brought with him. But widespread German speculation was that they might include some deal on German reunification in return for guarantees against the arming of West German forces with atomic weapons. Mikoyan signs the trade agreement at Bonn, and on Saturday will meet privately with Chancellor Konrad Adenauer. Mikoyan was greeted at the airport by Foreign Minister Heinrich von Brentano and other government officials then whisked off in a high speed motorcade to a nearby suburban railway station Jill - ■ OECATUh SUNDAY ONLY First Decatur Showing!
