LUNCHEON TO BE } AT MASONIC HALL Members of the Ladies Shakespeare club will close their year's . work with a luncheon in the Masonic hall at 1 o’clock vyednesday, Mrs Milo Black, chairman of the social committee, will present her brother, Laurence F. Meyers of Fort Wayne, who will talk on and demonstrate his favorite hobby, papier-troche work. Myers became interested in this hobby while serving in the U. S. Army in Italy. The musical program will be given on the vibraharp by Mrs. James Kocher, Jr. Other members of the social committee are: Mrs. Fred Smith, Mrs. D. E. Erwin, Mrs. Franklin Frantz, Mrs Stuart Brightwell, Mrs. Phillip Macklin and Mrs. Dan Tvnall. — t MRS. AMOS KETCHUM IS RECENT HOSTESS Mrs. Amos Ketchum was hostess to the Decatur Garden club members and guests, Mrs. William Affolder and Mrs. Vernon Custer, at the Ketchum home Tuesday afternoon. After Mrs. Don Mac Lean. president, called the meeting to order, the club collect and the Verse of the month were read in unison. Mrs. Delton Passwater, assisted by Mrs. Fred McConnell,' gave a memorial for Mrs. Amos Yoder. Twenty members answered roll call by naming the first flower she had found blooming in her garden. An invitation was then extended to the members to attend.the convention at Muncie. April 24 and e 25. JUDGE PARRISH IS RE ELECTED PRESIDENT Judge Myles Parrish, who has just completed one year as president of the Lincoln school P.T.A., was unanimously reelected to that position at the monthly meeting Thursday evening. Other officers elected for the coming year were Mrs. David Heller, vice president; Mrs. Hollis Bonifas, secretary, and David Kaye, treasurer. President Parrish opened the meeting, and the benediction was given by Chalmer Bollenbacher. After the reading and accepting of the minutes and committee reports, the meeting was turned over to W. Guy Brown, superintendent of Decatur schools for the election. The report of the nominating committee was given by Bryce Thomas. There being no further nominations from the floor, the nominees were unanimously elected. Judge Parrish thanked the large crowd present tor the vote of confidence, and pledged to-continue to make the Linclon P.T.A. a vital part of the school program. The program was then turned over to Clint Reed, director of instrumental music in the Decatur schools, for the evening entertaining. Reed directed the junior band in a varied one enjoyable program. The first number was the “Watching Song” by Edward Greig. Following that was a ballot number, featuring Sherry Winters as ballerina, accompanied by Kay Wynn at the piano, and the band. Versatility and range of the saxaphone was the next feature of the program, as three different saxafiihone solos were given by Karim Grice. Polly Bonifas and John Heimann. They were accompanied by Joe McNerney on guitar and Roger Conrad on drums. The percussion section took over next with “The Big Drum Bodgie,” and the program was concluded with the march, “Our Director.” Refreshments were served by Mrs. Robert Shraluka and Mrs. Chalmer Deßolt assisted by Mrs. David Myers, Mrs. Homer Tschannen and Mrs. A. B. Harvey. In the halls and on the walls of the auditorium were several pictures from the various classes in the Lincoln school, featuring- the best in Lincoln art. Members of the Psi lota Xi sorority are reminded of the square dance that is to be held at the Youth and Community center Tuesday at 7:45 o’clock. Members of the Monroe Woman's Christian Temperatnce Union are to visit tthe Adams county home Thursday afternoon. Each is to bring cookies and meet at the Monroe Methodist church, at 2 o” clock on the set day. A special meeting has been called by the Adams county coon hunters club for Saturday evening at 8 o' clock .“The group is to meet at the Reichert school in Monroe township. All members are urged to be president. Mrs. Frank Lybarge’r is to be the acting hostess for the Delta Theta Tau sorority meeting Tuesday evening. The set time is 8 o' - clock. V. F. W. Ladies auxiliary members will hold a meeting at the post home Monday evening at 8 o’clock. A pot hick supper is on the agenda for the gathering of the K. of C. auxiliary members Tuesdayevening at 6:30 o'clock. The committee will furnish the meat and rolls for the supper, which is to be held at the K. of C. hall. Members are asked to bring their husband or another guest to the affair. The Ruth and Naomi circle of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed church in to hold a regular meeting Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the church.
