Alcohol Tax Fund Distribution Off Decrease Noted In State Distribution INDIANAPOLIS — (IF — Indiana distributed $628,726 Tuesday to cities and towns from dwindling alcoholic beverage taxes collected in the quarter ending March 31. Recipts from the beverage taxes were $1,259,785, a drop of about 15 per cent from recipts of $1,479,429 in the corresponding quarter last year. Two years ago, the collections were $1,509,904. Indiana Alcoholic Beaverage Commission Chairman Noble Ellis Sai<t the decline in revenue indicates people are “just drinking less. I guess." He said the economic situation probably was' responsible but Indiana's tax revenue has not dropped as far as some other states.
