County Liquor Tax Share $19,206.27 $5.5 Millian Shared In Beverage Taxes Nearly five and one-half million dollars derived from alcoholic beverage permit fees and excise taxes was shared in 1957 by 543 cities and towns, and 61 counties in Indiana. Today marks the 25th or silver anniversary, of the return of legal be;er to Indiana. In many places the amount received by individual cities or towns, or even larger areas, will be used to commemorate the anniversary. In Adams county the city of Decatur received $5,426.22. from the license fee distribution, and SB,665.59, from gallonage tax distribution by the state auditor, for a total of $14,091.81. Berne received a total of $2,-
897.01, which Included $113.34 license fee distribution and $2,713.t4, from gallonage 1 tax. Geneva received $1,473.95, on a $213.34 license fee distribution and $1,190.61. from gallonage tax. Monroe was given $510.09 from gallonage tax. Adams county received $233.34 from license fee distribution. Adams county was given a grand total of $19,206.27, of which $6,126.24 efime from license fee distribution, and $13,080.03 from gallonage tax distribution. Youth Is Fined On Charge Os Speeding Tom Imll, 20, Decatur, was fined $5 and costs, totaling $20.75, in the mayor’s court this morning •on a charge of speeding 50 miles per hour in a posted 30 mile zone.
