Although none of the boys placed high enough to go to the district contest, all of them did well, and MHS is proud M them. —M.H.S.— In addition to home activities apd week-end jots. many students at MHS are engaged in extra teurricular affairs for their school. Last Saturday, for example, Jean hie Cook and Tom -Peck represented Monmouth in algebra! and Nancy Rice and Lonnie Buuck in geometry in the regional match contests at Bluffton. They are anxiously awaiting the results and the students of Monmouth wish them success.

The band also was busy representing Monmouth Saturday in the regional band contest at Greentown. The band did well, and the student body and faculty are very pleased with them. - M.H.S.— Another Saturday activity this week was the junior play which the juniors presented Friday and Saturday nights. The cast deserves hearty congratulations for a job well done. —M.H.S.Wednesday, the fifth chapel service—at Monmouth was presented with Kenny Peck serving as chairman of the events. The Rev. B. G. In this contest these two boys earned the right to re- ' present Adams county in the district contest April 26. Also representing Adams, county is the Adams Central team. MHS would like to say good luck to both of these teams and is hoping they will also win in the district. —M.H.S.— Achievement tests ere being given to grades one through eight on various days this week. Mr. Custard reminded the kids who had to stay in study hall that their time to go on the trip was coming up and then they didn’t mind it so much. —P.M.H.S.— The senior girls took a trip to Fort Wayne Monday to apply at different offices for work. They visited the Lincoln National Life Insurance Co. and several other places.

Mr. Custard has been working on the grade cards for this period. The teachers have been wortong hard to get their grades ih. The cards will be passed out about Friday. < - P.M.H.S.— The juniors had a very ammusing and suspense filled play last Friday, with a large audience to perform for. If you were one of them the juniors hope you had a good time and enjoyed the play and will come back next year when they give their senior play. It took quite a bit of hard work to get the track field in shape for this first track meet. The students would like to thank Mr. Getting and all of the boys who helped him for getting it done so the kids could see some home track meets this year. —P.M.H.S.Several of the Bth grade girls at PMHS have started a candy diet club. The club will have no dues but each time a member of this glub caught eating candy she must pay the club 10 cents. At this rate this club will be the richest club around. Hey girls this
