Season records and disheartening setbacks go by the boards as the eight Adams county teams battle at the Adams Central gym for sectional honors. The sectional opens Wednesday night with two games, continues with two more games Thursday night, then a day off for sale of tickets, then the semi-finals Saturday afternoon and the championship game Saturday night. Remember, all tourneys are to be operated on central standard time, so session openings at Adams Central will be on the following daylight time schedule: Wednesday at 8 p.m.. Thursday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. The Decatur Daily Democrat today is publishing its annual sectional edition, with photos of the eight teams, the roster of certified players, season records, and other articles, including the annual predictions of Basketbawl. The Decatur Commodores and Hartford Gorillas wound up in a dead heat for first place in the county standings, each with 14 victories and seven defeats. Only two other county teams, the Decatur VeJ-' i low Jackets and Geneva Cardinals. fashioned more victories than defeats. The Kendallville Comets moved into a second place tie with the New Haven Bulldogs last week by edging Columbia City in the final game of the Northeastern Indiana conference race. The Concordia Cadets had sewed tip’the title earlier. Final NEIC Standings W L Pct.
