State Police Using ‘Wolf Pack' Tactics The state police announced today that "wolf pack" tactics will be used periodically in Adams county to curb the increasing num-
ber of traffic offenders on the state highways. “Wolf packs” are concentrated patrols in heavy trafficked areas where 1 not enough local personnel are available. — Many Decatur and out of town motorists were handed warning or arrest tickets Friday night by a "wolf pack” which ranged from the Allen-Adams county line to the Adams-Jay line. The pack included six troopers from the Fort Wayne post and the Decatur area. Saturday night, the “wolf pack” operated on U.S. 224 in Adams, Wells and Huntington counties. 4 The state police are attempting to curb the increasing number of traffic fatalities and injuries occurring on the Indiana state highways each year. Motorists are urged to obey the speed laws set up for their safety. * MUST FILE , ‘uh tin uetl front ony) tween. March 1 and May 5.
