Christmas Party Is Held By Rural Youth District Meeting Is Held At Marion A large number of Adams county rural youth members attended the district Christmas party held in the 4-H building at Marion Friday night. Commissioners In Special Meeting The Adams county commissioners held a special meeting this morning in the county auditor's office for the purpose of clearing up the remaining business for the year. More than 200 bills were discussed and approved for payment. The county school attendance officer submitted a request for a private telephone in the office she shares with the sheriff's department. The commissioners also studied the question of whether the sheriff's department's photographic equipment could be insured.

Accidents Reported In City And County Two Are Arrested On Traffic Counts Two accidents. were investigated by the sheriff’s department over the week end. with one arrest as a result. The first accident occurred at the intersection of highways 224 and 101 at 5:40 p.m. Saturday. An eastbound vehicle driven by Glenoa C. Beer, 19, route 5 was hit, as she attempted to make a left turn onto 101, by a car operated by Patrick J. Moreland. 32, route 2, Ohio City, 0., also travelling east. was arrested following the accident and appeared in justice of the peace court, where he was fined $lO and costs. Both cars were totally demolished as a result of the accident. The second accident occurred Saturday evening when a car driven by Russell L. Houdyshell, 36, route 3, Bluffton, was forced off county road 16. one mile east of Vera Cruz. The Houdyshell vehicle hit a ditch, and a fence on the John Baumgartner farm, causing a tire to blow. Only minor damages were caused to the car. State trooper Gene Rash and Charles Arnold pf the sheriff’s department investigated the accident. Franklin R. Lybarger, 38. Decatur, was arrested Saturday following an accident on North Thirteenth street at 4:30 p.m. in which one person was injured. Lybarger was charged with failure to yield the right of way and is scheduled to appear in justice of the peace court at 4 p.m. today. Mrs. William Shoaf, 18, route 4, was injured when the car driven by her husband, William F. Shoaf. 21, strudk the Lybarger vehicle as Lybarger pulled out of a filling station onto the street. She was treated at the hospital for shock and abrasions to her right leg and then released. * Damages to the Lybarger car were S6OO and the Shoaf auto was totally destroyed.
