Howard, office manager, spent two days in Indianapolis a week ago with state ASC officers, it was learned today, The two were interested in learning the latest state policy in regards to reconstitution of the farms. Reconstitution would mean that a person managing more than one farm now, and figuring his wheat acreage on the basis of IS acres for each farm, would have to figure on the basis of 15 acres for all his farms. The Adams county representatives learned that each county committee will be responsible for reconstitution of its own county, and that whether it is done strictly or whether each farmer is allowed to plead his Own case will depend upon the will of the county committee. Johnson is chairman cf the county committee here, which also includes Victor Bleeke and James Garboden. STRIKES More than 1,000 strikers votec unanimously Thursday night c continue the strike until they re ceive some consideration of the settlement proposals drafted by their counsel, noted labor lawyer Louis Waldman. The union backed down part way from its demand to bargain exclusively for the subway motormen. Instead the new proposal. l asked for representation proportionate to their strength on the TWU contract negotiating committee. and the right to administei their own grievance machinery.
