Gorillas Beat Berne Tuesday Night 47-35 The defending sectional champion Hartford Gorillas registered their fifth consecutive victory Tuesday night, whipping the Berne Bears, 47-35, on the Hartford floor. Bowling Leagues Idle Thursday Evening Bowlers in both the Minor and Classic leagues are reminded that their leagues will not roll Thursday evening as usual, because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Adams County Man Fined, Sentenced Bert Affolder, of route 1, Berne, was arrested by the Celina, O„ city police for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, was fined SIOO and costs and sentenced to 10 days in the county jail, the minimum Ohio penalty. Affolder entered a plea of guilty and waived his right to an attorney. He was forbidden to drive in Ohio for one year, and the court will also recommend that Indiana suspend his driver’s license for the same period. Adams Central Is Defeated By Lancaster The Adams Central Greyhounds, after waging a close battle, weakened in the closing minutes to suffer a 60-42 loss to the Lancaster Central Bobcats at the Lancaster gym Tuesday night. Adams Central led at the first quarter, 16-15, but the Wells county team was in front at the half. 27-23, and at the third period, 3733. The Greyhounds still trailed by only four points midway in the final quarter, when Gary McMillen, veteran forward, fouled out of the game. Tom Heyerly was the only Greyhound to reach double figures, dropping in eight field goals for 16 points. Lancaster had four players above the 10-point total, Trimble leading with 18 markers. The Greyhounds will next see action Friday night. Dec. 6, entertaining the Decatur Commodores at Adams Central.
