The rest of the seniors should receive their pictures within the next few weeks. —D.H.S.— On November 18, the senior high home-ec. classes were visited by . Miss Young and Miss Ray of the
Northern Indiana Gas Company. These two women demonstrated the care and use of the gas range to the classes. ' : , - —D.H.S.— The students of Harry Dailey’s chemistry classes are now studying hydrochloric acid and hydrogen chlorid gas. The students will prepare hydrogen cloride gas upon returning to school Monday morning. —D.C.H.S.- * I Report cards were handed out
last Tuesday at the end of the school day. Many moans and groans were heard as the teachers presented the students with their cards. Some have improved gnd some have not. Get busy and improve those grades this six weeks! —D.H.S.— Miss Catherine Weidler’s junior English classes were to have their biographies or novels in by this afternoon. The junior had their
choice of writing a novel or biography this semester, and will do the other next semester. —D.H.S.— Mrs. Toddy Beatty visited the home-ec. classes on Friday, November 22. Mrs. Beatty demonstrated techniques of applying cosmetics properly. She represented Merle Norman Cosmetics. The girls in the classes enjoyed her demonstration very much. —D.H.S.— The six members of the speech class have been chosen for the Rotary speech contest. These six are Jane Wass, Ken Eliasson, Susan Custer, Janice Voshell, Judy Lane, and Barbara Kalver. These people will present their speeches on "What Can I Do?” for the Rotary club on December 19.
