Transplant Trees in Park At Berne Tilman Flueckeger and Homer Niederhouser of Berne have recently transplaned 90 sycamore, oak, and maple trees about three to seven feet in height to the south part of Lehman park. They intend to start an oak nursery in the south part of the park this spring to help provide continuing shade for the Berne park. Flu Deaths Creep Toward 750 Mark CHICAGO IW — Deaths from flu and its complications, averaging about 10 a day recently, crept toward the 750 mark across the nation today. The United P/ess counted at least 743 fatalities blamed on influenza or its after effects since the first outbreak of Asian flu in the United States last summer. Nine of the latest deaths occurred in Tennessee, boosting its toll to at least 35.
