the Geneva Cardinals In Central’s opening game of the.season. Central’s Greyhounds put on a good showing despite the fact that the flu took its toll on the team. The starting five in Friday’s game were Dave Isch, Gary McMillen, Allen Habegger, Max Egly, and Bill Hoffman. Substituting were Norman Hart, Gene Baumgartner, and sophomore Larry Foreman, who played an excellent game. One of the starting five, Tom Hyerly, was unable to play because of the flu. Tomorrow night Central hopes that the Monmouth Eagles will fall prey, so Greyhounds defeather those Eagles. —A.C.H.S.— One hundred and eighty voices, under the able leadership of cheerleaders Marcia Zimmerman, Muri Yoder, Carol Haggard, and Roily Zimmernjan, joined together at the Geneva ball game and literally raised the roof for Central’s Greyhounds. Central is proud of head majorette Jeannie Smith who won first place at the Decatur parade last Thursday. Although the band did not do as well — they received fifth place — they still deserve a lot of credit for their excellent marching. Better luck next time, kids. —A.C.H.S.— The members of the speech class will soon be super salesmen. This week the class is studying several different ways to put an idea

Wonder what the results will be? - A.C.H.S.— The senior agricultural boys are busily preparing their new room. The old cafeteria has been turned into a farm shop.
